    Ah but it wasn't proper training it's a school you know, seriously as you know I go down now and again when it's nice you couldn't wish for better surroundings to work in, the indoor facilities are excellent swimming pool, gym, treatment rooms etc, although some of our fellow posters like to diss the facilities players, school staff and pupil's do not mix whilst using the facilities I'm told, let's hope we see more of the goings on behind the scenes and get a glimpse of those facilities.

    Its a false narrative pushed by a negative nelly who falls back on it when he has exhausted all his other gripes.

    Facilities are top notch. Ideal? No. But superb for a L2 outfit.

    Did you notice how shite the facilities were in the gym, the canteen and the outside surroundings , especially the pitches and training areas were an absolute disgrace. ;).

    We are L2. Imagine if we spent all our money on training facilities, and zero on players.
    Lower league football is proper shuffling of funds. I wouldn't want to be in charge of finances.

    Mark Hughes said in an interview the food has been improved. Going by the new keepers breakfast he must have had £5 worth of fresh fruit in his breakfast bowl!

    Oh I'm not knocking it as I recently was working in an active school on a construction upgrade, I had a school dinner everyday it was epic and didn't want the job to end :joy:
    My above comment was just a cheap shot at a laugh.

    It’s no secret…Fordy. He’s the largest critic. His opinion which he’s entitled to of course.

    I don’t see it as a means to claim it somehow has an effect on team performance. My opinion, I am happy to share. Those facilities plus a heated swimming pool are pretty damn good , let’s not kid ourselves. Hope that explainss?

    You won't have seen today's Yorkshire Post where there is an interview with Vincent Kompany about Burnley's recruitment. Finance, or lack of it, is seen as a problem in getting the right quality players for Championship level. Dave Baldwin, when he was there, told me they had spent £40 m on a new training centre. Didn't do them much good and now they haven't got a lot spare apparently.
    I agree with the likes of Kevin, Bronco and yourself. I've been inside our facilities, I was party to the current legals with the school that got us the facilities we did and have improved on. I talk to other clubs when we play them, believe me we have better than most in L2, if not all and better than a lot in L1. I keep making the point from first hand knowledge but there is non so blind as will not see.

    Watching the video, i can assure you that those working conditions are luxury, compared to some of the shit holes you get in the construction industry. Breakfast and dinner made for you as well and off home by 2.30. School or not, i would swap places without a thought.
