Not sure about that Park. I might be wrong but I think Sparks said the last week of sales usually makes up quite a big percentage of overall sales. Whether this year bucks that trend or not remains to be seen.

 

If we had 75% of the remaining 2500, have had a season ticket for 6 years +, you must presume 1500-2000 of those will renew.
Add on a few newbies and we're at 15,000.

 

I will be surprised if we are anywhere near that 13000 + I reckon

Maybe it depends where you are. I'm in C Block, Main Stand, right on the halfway line. Excellent view, but empty seats get snapped up very quickly. I wouldn't want to risk losing that position by missing the deadline for renewals.

 

Fair enough. I'm in the Kop. One block to the next wouldn't make any difference to me.

 

I'm not too fussed where I sit aslong as I sit with the 7 others I usually attend the game with. So 8 seats together is all I ask for. It makes sense to renew the same seats so we can all pay for our tickets in our own time, rather than having all 8 of us doing it on the same day to guarantee those seats together. I'm sure I'm not the only one who takes this approach.

As much as it is about the football, it is also a social activity and you don't want to be sat up on your own.

 

Be prepared to be surprised. We’re closing in on 13,500 with a big few days to come.

The day of the seat renewal , there was 18 seats available in my block. the day after 105 , so approx 80 had not renewed at that point. Today its 69 in this block, so 36 have been sold since monday morning.
If you say similar sales in other blocks , that would be approx 1000 this week. that would takes us past 13000.
Although we are told the uptake is generally greater this last week.

 

I think a lot of people go to matches with others and that is part of the day

 

The usual up lift in the final week probably will not happen this year due to the split deadline

 

I agree. You can still sit together in another block of the ground. The ground is usually only half full on a match day.
