    Welcome to the forum Tommy.

My team would be pretty similar to most and built up mainly of the Jewell promotion and PL team.

The likes of Gus Uhlembeek, Nigel Pepper would be in the discussion RE favs, then the history makers obviously have to be discussed - Jones, Wells, Hanson especially.

Yes, those two need no further names. To be fair, I think that Ces belongs in that category as well. It's been a long time since we had players worthy of our Hall of Fame, let alone of being known only by their first names.

Stuart, Bobby, Ces & Joe. Give me those first names only and I know who you mean. The rest could be any number unless they are names we've only had one of in my time like Bernie, Gerry & Nahki.

The Gerry Ingram / Alan Gilliver combination was one of the best. My vote for the classiest centre forward of that era would go to Paul Aimson who had a relatively short but impressive spell at City.

I'm singing the Gerry Ingram song in my mind now but i can't for the life in me remember the title of the song.
I know it was a heavy metal band that sang it but i just can't remember, any ideas? it's bugging me.

Best is not easy to define for me as I have some fabulous memories of plenty of players who played in the same position eg Paul Tomlinson/Gary Walsh.

We also had some great combinations Hanson/Wells Campbell/Hawley Evans/Jackson Youds/Mohan

    GK Tomlinson
    RB Stephen Darby
    CB Andrew Davies
    CB Peter Jackson
    LB Wayne Jacobs
    MF Stuart McCall
    MF Mick Kennedy
    RW John Hendrie
    LW Peter Beagrie
    ST Bobby Campbell
    ST James Hanson

    My Subs:
    G Walsh
    D Wetherall
    D Windass
    S McCarthy
    N Wells
