    I do like this longer contract for these “ younger “ lad we are signing. A big mistake where Vernam was concerned.

    I think this is Hughes planning to be here for the next three-four years.

    He's signed a versatile young forward who has just been awarded a league winners medal, and for a long time - potentially maximising his resale value.

    Theoretically, it's a strong move.

    He's a local lad too, and excited to be here by all accounts - he even enjoyed playing against us. That means there's little doubt about his commitment or that he'll settle. Looks a well considered move.

    I believe when a player is on loan, it shows the end date of the loan contract, and not the contract with their own club
