Pitch Invasions / Violence - A Growing Problem?

It was disgraceful. I didn't realise what had happened until this morning, but I watched the game and as the fans invaded, it was clear that some unacceptable goings on were taking place. You could see players being accosted and provoked. I know its more nuanced, but the League need to take a strong stance. Kick Forrest out, put Sheff Utd in the final. In know in practical terms that probably won't work for a number of reasons, but a strong message needs to be sent.

 

Hit the nail on the head. A deterrent is needed as this is escalating. What a cowardly act and obvious he would cause injury. Has to be jail time

What goes through someone's mind that having won a trip to Wembley for the first time since 1992 your instinct is to go out and assault someone? Really?

McBurnie is already hated by the Sheff fan base, probably ends up with a fine or a ban now too. Didn't he assault a sheff weds fan who said something on the street to him last summer?

Scored 2 in his last 58 appearances for Sheff, one of those against Southampton U23s in the Mickley mouse pizza cup. He'll struggle to get another championship club the way his career is shaping up.

Bans will be handed out, a jail sentence or two.
