If it’s true this is a keeper MH knows and no doubt is aware of his progress through his contacts in Southampton he obviously isn’t ready for the premiership yet but we are division 2 so let’s see what happens

This says it's a done deal though. Most rumours would be expressing interest rather than it's done.

 

On paper this is a bit of a strange one. Normally you'd expect a keeper with that sort of record to be coming in as second or third choice but I doubt he'd be moving all the way up here to do that.

Happy to go down the younger route for a keeper as they are generally better with their feet, but this lad looks a bit too inexperienced for his age for me.

Pickford was inexperienced and he didn't do to badly, maybe this lad like a lot of premiership youngsters just aren't given the chance to prove themselves.

Pickford had been on loan for 4 different clubs before coming here. This lad had a loan spell 4 years ago and nothing since

 

Seen a couple of people compare it to Pickford, the situations are absolutely nothing alike. As you say he’d been loaned out 4 times at progressively higher levels for his development as Sunderland knew he was their future number 1. This lad is far older and played far less and has been released not loaned out for his development. He maybe okay who knows, but mentioning Pickford is laughable.

 

Seems strange. But there are a few gems out there that on the face of it, would look like strange signings.

We’ve talked about Hughes using his contacts higher up the pyramid, so we have to trust in him to make the right use of those contacts. I’m keeping a completely open mind about any signings like this.

Tom Pitway? Reckons he's a freelance journalist, opened Twitter account on May 8th, tweets about a player with former links to Hughes - I may be wrong but I think he may be making things up.

 

Good pedigree for sure and pretty recent. 70 games for QPR as well as at Stoke under Hughes

I’d be surprised if there’s any truth in that Geoff Cameron, looks like he left QPR to move back home to America. Can’t see league 2 football at 36 been much of a pull.
