    Like a few on here I am scratching my head trying to think of the real motivation Hughes is here. Maybe it is just as it is, but surely he could have easily gone for a safer manager role further up the pyramid?

    Pure speculation, and still living a wave of excitement of possibilities, could he be testing out whether to invest a few of his £M and come in as the active partner with Rupp (Rupp remaining as the majority owner/ sleeping partner - similar deal as with Rahic, but with the obvious positives)? With the eventual goal of stability, promotions and then stepping into a more DOF type role. Allowing Hodges possibly becoming 1st team coach at some point in the journey?

    I think I am getting too hopeful now.

    I think at the moment with basically all our widemen out injured he will be limited with the likes of 4-4-2.

    Fascinating. Basically he says that people keep on repeating the same thing. Given his own behaviour over the years, then I assume that he will go on assaulting people and making crass remarks.

    He mostly played 442, which some of our fans will be happy with. Going to be a few very good performances from some of the players today trying to impress the new boss.
