Bollocks. If there’s one contingent that’s beyond blame, its the fans. We’ve been served up shite, mediocrity, false promises, directionless and ambitionless crap and seen the club regress year on year. Still, 15k turn up at home and we take the divisions biggest away following every week. We very rarely give the players grief. Other clubs fans turn much more quickly and much more aggressively, without having to endure a fraction of what we do.

The patience and belief of this fan base has been taken for granted for far too long. Enough is enough. Either we want to be a proper football club, that not only competes, but looks to engage the likes of Sutton, Harrogate, Barrow with the determination and suitable embarrassment to do something about the fact that we’re playing (and losing to them) in this league, or we don’t.

 

As much as I dislike Adams it's about time our delusional, toxic fan base was called out.

When he started alluding to the problem at the club he refused to identify I remember posting that it wouldn't go down well when he finally did. Well here we are.

 

See the post above. Blaming the fans is absolute horse shit, and absolves the string of incapable, unqualified or mismatched people that run this club from top to bottom.

 

Turning on the fans usually results in being sacked.
I really hope someone Sparks respects, listened to that interview and tells him what needs to be done.

 

Or perhaps he's run out of people to blame but himself and we're simply the next in the barrel he's scraping.

 

It's like in that Plymouth article that was posted on here the other day, the worst mistake Adams made as Plymouth manager was when he turned on the fans.

He has just publicly blamed us for our club's demise. We, the paying fans, are at fault for our clubs position and not Derek Adams, or the ownership.

I cannot believe what I've heard.

 

Yet some said as he walked towards the City fan they were giving him grief so he turned and walked to the tunnel.

Mate I watched him after the game - he shook hands with Harrogate’s staff and never even looked at our Fans. Believe me I watched it all the way.

Sorry mate but that's bollocks. How the hell are we a toxic fanbase? Last Wednesday was the first time I have heard the fans show their frustration towards DA in a game-granted I don't travel as much these days. And we had every right to as well it was dire.

If he is calling out the fans as the problem then he needs sectioning tonight.

We are the textbook definition of muddling mediocrity, well on the way to dropping into fearful frowsy status (terms a famous grumpy sportscaster over here used to use to classify bad teams...e.g the Toronto Maple Leafs...)

I suppose I'll be contributing to our toxicity (as fans) after the next match with my next 10-match segments update... Until then, Adams Out! will have to do.

Sack the boring Scottish bore fest and invest, to get this club moving in the right direction.

If I had been in Sparks position hearing that the guy wouldn’t have even made it onto the bus to leave the ground, his phone would have been ringing as he finished the interview telling him to come in tomorrow just to clear his desk and f&@k off. Who the hell does he think he is not even Mourinho would be arrogant enough to basically call himself the messiah after 8 wins in 30 games (or whatever it is)!!!!
