E-mails relating to the evacuation from Afghanistan have been released today.

They appear to contradict Johnson's denial that he intervened to authorise the evacuation of animals.

    It's not a good look.

    Boris Johnson is a liar.

He is the best man to lead the Torys.

Let's be fair the definition of the origins of Tory is Irish "Tory was an insult (derived from the Middle Irish word tóraidhe, modern Irish tóraí, meaning "outlaw", "robber", from the Irish word tóir."

Living up to his political predecessors.

Well we are seeing one of the benefits of partygate.

No Masks, No Covid Passes and no more Work from Home requirements. There is no doubting that this who situation has forced Johnson to listen to people other than those who have continually put charts of doom under his nose and more thought luck than judgement we have the restrictions required, ie none.

Looking over at France and Italy with this lurching to do this that and the other is really seeing no benefit as number still rack up regardless of the restrictions put infront of them.

There is no excuse that BoJo can use to get him off the moral hook.

He should have banned all gatherings etc at No 10 in line with the rest of the civil service-canteens were shut down and staff were ordered to eat at their desks, socially distanced and only leave if its to go to the toilet or go home.

He could have easily sent out an email reminding his staff that they should follow the rules cos if we don't its gonna look a bit dodgy peeps. And he could have reminded his staff-Oh and by the way if you are caught drinking alcohol at work you will face severe disciplinary proceedings as would the rest of the civil service.

I heard a former member of staff on t radio the other day saying if they were having a bad day it was normal for staff to open the drinks fridge under their desk :eyes: and have a drink in between emails.

It saddens me that some people are standing up for him. Christ he is the PM and if he cannot exercise good sound judgement after HE wrote the fecking rules then he should be removed from office forthwith.

    Two faced *@?$.

Yes, that's a good point that hadn't previously occurred to me. When I worked in social services in the 80s we used to regularly go down the pub at lunchtime and have drinks in the office at leaving do's etc. But all of that stopped in the early 90s - no alcohol allowed on the premises and going to the pub at lunchtime was banned - anyone smelling of drink would have been suspended, pending a disciplinary. I've no doubt that similar rules apply for ordinary civil servants as for local authority and NHS staff. Yet the culture at number ten seems to have been so alcohol related that the PM himself has difficulty distinguishing between a work event and a party! One rule for us etc. Entitled pubic school arseholes, the lot of them.

The Sue Gray report has been delivered.

I understand a junior staff member has been sent to the Co-op with a suitcase to buy some black marker pens.

As expected the Sue Gray report leaves far more questions than answer due to pretty much all of it being redacted due to 16 of them being listed but the police only confirming they are NOT looking into 4 of them. So they must be looking at the other 12. Some of which maybe the official residence of the PM.

Can kicked down the road, MET will sit on this for months and release it when no one is looking. Cover up complete.

PM takes question at 3.30pm in the house of commons. That will be a waste of time.

Could be entertaining. Most interesting will be the reaction from his own backbenchers.

This will not die until the below has been seen, and no doubt why the Met have stepped in, seeing as 12 of the 16 are being investigated by the Police, this includes one in Boris's own flat by either him or his wife.

    7. In carrying out my investigation I have been supported by a small team of senior civil servants in the Cabinet Office, who have no connection with the events under examination and who are bound by the requirements of the Civil Service Code.
We carried out interviews of over 70 individuals, some more than once, and examined relevant documentary and digital information, such as emails; Whatsapp messages; text messages; photographs and building entry and exit logs. This has also included searches of official records. As such, extensive substantive factual information is now available and has been compiled by me and my team to fulfil my obligation to establish the facts. The investigative work is now essentially complete.

    He's done. Finished.

The pressure on him will be high enough already, the second the report comes out and/or WhatsApp conversations start leaking, he's got to go.

The culture in government is SO BAD under Boris, he should leave already.
