I'm the happiest of clappers but even I can't see the point you are making. You can't have watched this evening's game and have optimism for the remainder of this season.

Would love to be surprised but we are shockingly bad atm.

Tonight it was rub of the green, heroic goalkeeping, and ineptitude in front of goal from Walsall which won us points, not sound defending.

 

Lighten up we won the game and overall we should have had a fair few more points

 

I've not seen a post that suggests anyone is getting carried away, the vast majority saying it was a very poor performance, even Adams said as much, but if a player sticks his arm out in his own penalty area do we not take the chance on offer.

 

Last time I remember us playing well was Forest away. The last 5 games we've played awful sides and had the rub of the green in most of them. This season can't end soon enough.

There are more important things in life than football.

 

Let’s be honest we need to improve dramatically if we’re to have any chance of promotion, personally don’t think we have a chance though so I’m relaxed about it. We simply aren’t good enough, but happy to be proven wrong. Thing is early season we didn’t look bad and created loads, now we barely create. If we could get them performances back but be more clinical we may still have a chance but not holding my breath.

 

Interestingly even Adams seems to have stopped quoting all the stats he liked to wheel out after each match

 

Them days are long gone mate, it's a game of football we were second best but we come away with the spoils, we've been on the recieving end many times coming away from a game and saying how did we lose that game its football you don't always get what you want to coin a phrase from the Rolling Stones.

 

To be honest that was one of his more honest assessments in my eyes - he has come out with some right tosh after most games

 

Let's beat Crawley on Saturday then worry about the next game .
We have several teams around and above us to come to Valley Parade who we need to do the business against, but as you say 10 points would be a good return.

 

Exactly we have probably two games against the run of play how many have gone the other way

 

6pts against Crawley and Orient would put us in a real position for the play offs. Not getting carried away but with a couple more additions and a bit of form....

 

Not just the 10 points, but back to back wins would do confidence the world of good. Surely it's got to happen at some point!

 

Hate to break it to everyone, but just like when we played Carlisle and they'd just found some defensive form, Crawley's last 6 away results read: 3 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat.

Walsall's home form is pretty much the inverse of that, and we've gone there and got a win.

Leyton Orient, meanwhile, are absolute dog dirt on the road.

I'd say we'll need to up our game BIG TIME to beat Crawley at VP, but we should all fully expect 3 points from Orient IMO.

 

We have lost just one match at home all season it’s the draws that have been so costly we should at least 6 or *7 more home points

 

I'd play Sutton there, personally don't like a wrong-footed FB despite how well he might have done in his previous 45 mins there. Of course, if it is a choice between him and Threlkeld I'd go Foulds, *@?$-footed or not

 

No point talking about Crawleys form when we can’t even get back to back wins.

We could be playing Park Avenue on Saturday and would struggle.

Bradford City under Adams are SHITE!

 

It's hard to predict anything other than a draw for this Bradford City side, but the good news is we've scored 2 in 4 of the last 6, which indicates there has been an improvement.

But so long as the limit of our goalscoring prowess is 1, maybe 2 goals, we're not going to trouble the top seven.

 

Unless we start keeping clean sheets.
