Just Robinson and Lavery? They could have had the whole squad for 300k!

Great point. Nobody wants us to be gazumping teams 2 divisions above us by blowing them out of the water financially, but I refuse to accept there isn't a halfway house between that and spending absolutely nothing. 300 grand or quite possibly less will get you a bloody good L2 standard player in my opinion, given how much you can often get for free at this level. Again with wages, we've been happy enough in the past and currently to piss the wage bill up a wall on perma crocks, why don't we go and spend that budget on a relatively surer bet for once?

SCMP comes in to play for L2 clubs but there aren't the same restrictions in the National league, if you're an upwardly mobile club at NL level then it makes sense to splash the cash before you get in to L2 to load up your squad with well paid talent and aim for 2 consecutive promotions so that you're not hampered by SCMP when trying to strengthen a L2 squad

They bought Tozer from Cheltenham in the summer on big money. I think it's the strategy for them.
Buy older pro's from League One. The selling club can't turn down the fee for a 30 year old and the player can't turn down a big salary and a 3 year deal.

I think it was the Wealdstone Chairman who said the Tozer deal cost Wrexham more than the Wealdstone budget for the whole season.

Sheer madness . What happens if Mr big Hollywood's gets bored and pulls their money out. Wrexham could be finished.
The two flashgits would be alright, but the fans could finish up with no club. There is no guarantee all this spending will end in promotion. £300k for a player at that level WOW . He could get a serious injury on debut and that would blow the policy right out of the window

No one knows what the future holds for any club, wouldn't if be nice to have an owner/owners who showed interest and put themselves out to come from America to meet fans and give their vision going forward, with regards players and injuries every signing is a gamble Andy.

Yes, it would be fantastic Dave. I am just not sure what they get out of it, like the Salford guys, ego boost.
Of course every player signed is a gamble , Lee Angol perfect example.
I just think , like the rest of football its getting silly when a non league club spends more on 1 player than other clubs at their level, entire season budget.

I remember that forum. Hunter went on for ages about "super Leeds" and was eventually shut up when Dave Keegan stood up and said, Norman this is a Bradford City fans forum, no one is interested in your crap about Leeds, so can you get on with it ? Or words to that effect !

Nothing wrong with what Wrexham are doing in my opinion. If you want to look at financial mismanagement then the bottom half of the championship is where you need to look.

Ryan Reynolds aside of being the second highest earning actor in 2020 he is also quite savvy at business too. He sold a gin company for $600mill and also has a budget friendly mobile phone company.

He managed to get Wrexham into the Fifa22 game, he spent £50,000 to enhance the women’s football programme and increase participation at all levels’.
They have sold a record number of kits, both home and away, renovated the stadium, revamped the players' nutrition and medical support, brought in more staff in the ticketing, retail and finance departments of the club and are currently starting the process of revamping the club's medical facilities and recovery gym.

Give me "two flash gits" over the absolute mess that we have in charge.

i agree it’s the same as Man City’s owners obviously
On a smaller scale but they always get stick for spending money but compare them to the likes of glazers who do nothing but take money out I’m all for it

If someone is loaded and want to blow amounts of money like this good luck to him and Wrexham. Unfortunately the chances of one rocking up here are like finding water in a desert. The next owners of this club will run it the way Lawn and Rhodes did which wasn’t popular on here but took us to the cusp of the championship deficit deficit deficit

No sign of a striker & I doubt we will get one other clubs can but not us
In the Summer we was after Bogle at Doncaster, e has still not played for them, and is out of contract in the summer
Nhaki Wells is sat on the bench at Bristol
Swindon lose a forward and replace him with another inside 24 hours
Or is it we are waiting for another crocked donkey to become available
No goal scorers in the club but goalkeepers and midfield player to fill two teams
A week to go to end of window and we will be left with only cook Robinson & livery or what ever his name is
Same old Bradford City recruitment CRAP

The publicity the owners have inspired has paid for the likes of Palmer and Paul Mullin, international sponsors like Tiktok and a TV series worth hundreds of thousands. I say good luck to them, we could only dream of having such wealthy and ambitious owners.
