We were all delighted when the Rupp & Rahic purchased OUR club, unfortunately no one knows how credible new owners are until they take over then its too late.

It only lasted a minute! With all due respect to new signing Alex Bass, did I hear correctly when Adams stated he was "well renowned in the English game?". "Well renowned" for what and by who exactly? The lad has played just 27 league games in six years!! I can't bear listening to the bloke so stopped the recording there and then. I dread to think what crap he came out with.

 

I am, I can't remember anyone posting they were not the right people to purchase our club, more so when Rupp's wealth was being quoted.

A few banners could get media coverage both at home and in Germany. Rupp doesn't like adverse publicity. Lower attendances will just sit under the radar and hurt the supporters more than him. We need to show potential investors that we're not happy with the status quo and looking for change.

 

Things might be rubbish but no way is it as bad as it was under Rahic. Rahic was out of control and his actions damaged the club significantly. At least Rupp took responsibility and covered off any risk during Covid. I’m not supportive of an absent uninterested owner but in perspective Rahic was the start of our downfall. Rupp will want his money back but that’s unlikely unless we get back up a league and into similar shape as we were before he bought the club. In the meantime we have this dreadful holding pattern.

 

The yardstick I'm using is that I kept going to VP throughout the Rahic era but I've given up under the deluded duo of Sparks and Adams.

I think banners would be a bit premature. We’ve got tonight and Saturday before the transfer window closes and we’ve still time to bring in someone. That may be wishful thinking, and we may well end up with another Samuels/Burrell, but let’s wait and see. If Adams is allowed the bring in a ‘proper’ striker then Rupp has done his job in January.

yes, long-term we have no clear vision, and we need direction, but if we can kick start a promotion bid in this second half of the season it would be foolish to risk ruining that with protests and banners.

as ever in football, success on the pitch changes everything.

Short-term we need to go up. Left ourselves with a mountain to climb but when you look at our fixtures now there’s not a lot left to fear.

Shame we lost ground after such a promising start.

 

No he won’t, but he’ll put in it’ll a minimal amount just to standstill. If you think the quality is bad now just wait until the money starts to dry up. At the moment we’ve hope, no matter how slim, start boycotting games and it’ll be a sure fire way to the National League. What we need is for Rupp to put in proper investment, not just offer an overdraft facility covering the basic running costs.

The frustration for me is we haven’t dominated many, if any games so far. The good start has become a distant memory. If we saw consistently good performances we could have hope, but the disjointed performances are just soul destroying. But as @borderlescott has said, we’ve a week to go in the window, let’s see who comes in before we get the pitchforks out.
