It’s a school!

 

I wish we could get away from the whole facilities thing. They are ideal for this level and probably a step up from most in this league.
In the future however if we have aims of being a serious championship club then we need a purpose built site and there’s nothing wrong with having ambitions for that.
Hopefully we are making plans to buy the ground and are putting funds away and making plans for all that in one place.
But this is Bradford city and I’m dreaming I know

 

I’d like to think most on here aren’t asking for our owner to be like Wrexham’s that’s one extreme to others, over paying for players who’ll have a very limited shelf life. Just an owner who’s interested in developing the club, creates and identity and culture so that we can recruit sensibly and not go through 2 managers a season. That’s what it takes to get out of the lower leagues, so many clubs, probably most get promoted without chucking loads of money about.

 

So you’d rather we dish out 2 year contracts and end up stuck with the crap we’ll have at the end of this season. If they prove themselves they’ll get an offer or leave. If they’re crap we move on.

I certainly wouldn't want the club spending 300k on Ollie Palmer of all players, but they obviously have a plan in place and are generating the money they want to spend through activities off the field. That's more than we can say about our club. They've got the money to spend so as a Wrexham fan I wouldn't be worried.

If Rupp is the owner for the foreseeable future than I'd be surprised if we aren't surpassed by Wrexham in the next few years. We're fortunate that there's only two promotion spots from the NL.

 

I’d be backing them over all the others at this stage now. Man who knows how to do the business end of the season. Serious firepower for that level. It will be a good race however

 

Things go right for him he’ll be in the same division in a couple of seasons and earned a lot more.

I wouldn’t want us spending £300k on him but Wrexham have ambition, wealthy owners investing money in the club and securing further funds via differing revenue streams.

I'd be pretty surprised if Parkinson has asked to sign the lad, all things considered, although he's obviously a target man and would suit Parky's style of play - but it just doesn't seem quite right to me.

Parkinson can't think he needs to spend that much money to get out of the National League, so I'm wondering whose big idea it is.

 

It's ok. Halifax Town will be overtaking us next season.

It does make some sense, but he's never been one to pile pressure on himself by making big money signings, so it's also a bit weird.
