Fool that I am,I really thought that our so called budget was significant enough for us to be above competitive. Doing all this business from a pool of loanees is one thing, but not being able to sign our targets because the fees asked were beyond our remit..well Sparks and co, hold your cheating heads in shame.Empty promises and useless soundbites no longer cut it with me.The words of the tune 'Won't get fooled again' are ringing round my head. This is so miserably dissappointing.

Swindon lost there striker after Saturday was recalled today they sign a striker to replace him! It’s not that hard obviously

 

A lot of moaning on here today and while I like a good moan on here myself I don’t think we’ve had a bad window. Angol injury has made it vital that we need a striker but on the 31st Dec had you told me we would be signing Walker, Daly and Bass then I’d have been pleased with that.
Adams has stated that he will pay a fee if needs be… not sure why people have taken issue with that. Prices are high due to covid. That’s fact. The fact he’s been told he’s allowed to pay a fee is a positive though and and still 7 days to go until the window shuts.

Covid has been prevalent for 2 years now.
The club boasted about been ready both financially and recruitment wise to have a real go in January.
That to me is 3 or 4 permanent signings and 1 or 2 loans.
We've had 3 loans and up until this month id never heard of any of them.

 

A positive he’s been allowed to pay a fee ?

We did have people on here saying we were going to have to unload this window which is not so far been the case and Walker for instance will be receiving a fair bit of his wage from the club. I knew and posted on here that it would be mainly loans this window it makes sense and stretches the budget

 

A good window? Pereira left out on Saturday because the bench was strong enough without him, Walker had a good debut, Daly anonymous and a keeper to go with the other two. We can’t score to save our lives but we have as many strikers as keepers. And two of those strikers are NLN level.

We’ve been sold a pup by the club, no promotion is failure, a squad to compete, Crankshaw gone to bring in a free agent, we’re ready for January, there’s money to spend and now, we might bring another in and it might be a striker.

fecksake. Adams and Sparks make it really difficult on themselves, I can see why Sparky left Twitter, he knew this shit show was coming.

 

We could YET be Bury ... its a real muddle. Walking away as fans and reduced income will only make it worse. Stay with the club and nothing changes. We need new ownership !!!
