    Paperwork can’t have been completed.

remember that striker. Lee McSomething was it? Pictured with scarf in stand…..then the deal collapsed….so that’s why not announced until signed and sealed!

Adams said he prefers taking loan players on during the January window then you know the loan player is at the club until the end of the season bar injury, a good example is the lad Daly who had a good first half of the campaign on loan at Hartlepool United Town must have thought being at Valley Parade was a better option, maybe the Lewis O'Brien's loan convinced them City was a better option.

    Some, not all.

    Out of contract this summer:
ROD, POC, Canavan, Cooke, Foulds, Vernam, Evans, Watt, Angol, Robinson, Sutton & Lavery.

    Currently contracted for 22/23:
Threlkeld, Ridehalgh, Songo'o, Eisa, Cook, Gilliead, Hornby, Kelleher, Staunton, FCD & Scales.

I wouldn't be surprised if none of the out of contract players sign again. Imagine we offer to 5 or 6 but they'll want to look around the market.

I'm sure you're right but it looks like you've answered your own question. Why aren't we in for him or anybody similar? .... £50k!

Plymouth were confirmed to be talking to him over the weekend with Wigan keeping an eye on him. Still far more entertaining options that City, unfortunately. Rotherhams move for a striker seems to hinge on Ladapo moving, which didnt look close to happening last week.

Morecambe manager said they want £500K for Stockton, where as Rotherham paid £400K for Ladapo and he wants a championship move, Warne has said they don't want to make a loss on Ladapo. He was on good form before handing in his transfer request, but doesn't look like anyone wants to pay that much and Ladapo is out of contract in the summer.

Can we swap those 2 lists around? Christ, stuck with dross and about to lose the only half decent crop in the squad.

I haven't posted too much on here lately but this window sums up why, the club is full of hot air and the constant failings in transfer windows is crippling us and has seen us on a continuous decline.

It needs fixing and fast before other also lose interest like I have.

Another name who seemingly gets mentioned every window, but Kayden Jackson has been told to look for a move from Ipswich. Joe Pigott also looks like he's been told he can leave on loan after Ipswich recalled Simpson from Swindon, he scored 11 in 30 in L2.

One of Pigott or Jackson will probably end up at Colchester, seems like anyone who Ipswich had at some point in the last few years has signed for Colchester this year.

£50k for a player who can't get in Port Vale's side and apart from last season has a goal scoring record that's average at best seems a lot. Even including last season in his stats he's on 14 goals + 4 assists in 61 appearances in League 2 and 17 goals + 3 assists in National League.

A natural leader of the line with good physical strength and very mobile who was young player of the year but was out with covid for awhile, 14 goals and 4 assists in 61 games is a good return compared with the dross we have, At 23 worth investing in

Probably because it’s just down the road, relatively speaking.

I can’t take this forum seriously. Our goalkeeping options this season have been shite. Every week there is a complaint regarding the goalie. ROD an Hornby are both a mistake waiting to happen. Now the management has gone ahead an rectified the situation by bringing in a keeper on loan from a higher league from a team who’s fans seem to highly rate him, And the last 4 pages of this thread is full of bs about how a goalie isn’t a priority position? of course it bloody is. And no, Of course a goalie isn't a bigger priority than getting a striker for us right now, But it’s still a priority nonetheless, an we happen to of got one on loan for peanuts an he’s coming here with a point to prove.

That, and their DOF who does all the transfers played for years at Ipswich, then ran the academy for just shy of a decade. Probably why a lot of the Ipswich lads they sign are 30+, probably helped them at some point early on in their careers.

Yes the team in general is poor. But as we all know, The addition of a few bits of quality around the team can improve the remaining players game. Il use last January as an example. Look at the difference Canavan made to the defence when he joined last season. The addition of Walker will boost the performances of the players around him in the months to come as the team begins to gel. We just need a few bits of quality added to this team to get us near the play offs.

Just 2 recognised strikers would be a good start! The original one who was needed as a good reliable backup to Cook and Angol and now a second one to replace the injured Angol. Unfortunately, I don't see it happening.

Unless either Robinson and/or Lavery leave, then I also can’t see it happening.
Do loan players count as part of the cap on the number of Senior players? That needs to be factored in.
The only other missing individual who could leave is Gareth Evans, who doesn’t seem to be in Adams plans. He will be 34 in April. If he can get a move now with a full 2022/2023 deal, it would make sense, as I cannot see him getting another contract at City.
