I'm a bit worried that Walker and Daly might have been loaned to us on a condition that they start every game if fit. That doesn't provide us with competition for places, it leaves us trying to fit square pegs in round holes as happened with Daly yesterday. Why on earth Adams hasn't realised yet that Angol can't play as a loan striker also baffles me, but at least his hand has been forced on that one now.

After Angols latest injury yesterday it will be interesting to see what happens on the striker front as we urgently needed a new one BEFORE this occurred.

That article says we are struggling with consistency. The journo appears to have that problem as well, as he has us playing in league 1 and league 2!

 

Good luck to the lad hard to get inspired like, he’s only ever been loaned out to non league teams and has spent most of his career as a number 3 or 2 at Pompey. We’ve got 2 keepers who make decent number two’s already. Feels like we are just bringing some of these players for the sake of it to get us through to the end of the season.

Maybe but that’s probably the most uninspiring bit of business you’ll hear. I was hoping we’d go into this window and try being in improvements in areas we need to which the keeper is one of them, starting to feel like we’re writing the season off and going through the motions.

Would not dispute that - for me Adams/clubs recruitment / investment in players to date leaves a lot to be desired in the summer and the current transfer window - based on the teams performances to date.

 

Nah let’s hold out for 1 million. Anyone stupid enough to pay £250k for Hanson and 16million for McBurnie is easy pickings

 

No problem with signing a keeper, but it's nowhere near a priority position. If Bass does come in on loan then that's only one loan spot left open and by my maths we need at least three more additions (RB, ST x2).

So in other words, we need two or three permanent signings and they need to be signings of quality. I won't hold my breath.

 

Only in the first half - second half he becomes a combative midfield dynamo.
