Surely 2 or 3 on the way out.

 

I think goals from midfield were as if not more important than up front.
If we have Angol and Cook fit together we have an ok, not spectacular pairing. We can improve and definitely have to improve in terms of cover for them at the minimum.
But the contribution from midfield isn’t even ok, it’s downright unacceptable and they’ve been even more guilty of missed chances than the forwards.
Definitely need to address the top of the pitch now though, don’t disagree with that

 

Adams explained the reason Crankshaw left was he could not promise Crankshaw would get regular football, he even said he didn't blame him at his age you want to be starting games.

I'm thinking we might now see Sutton starting at RB. I don't think he's the best out and out defender but him and Gilliead looked pretty good together down that side on Saturday

Scales has struggled to get into the Farsley team whilst on loan, so we can count him out.

If you include Angol playing from one of the sides, then you've got 11 for 5 spots.

Probably one too many. Let's hope Evans departs.

Maybe the extra competition for places is what's been missing.

From what I've seen at RB so far this season he's not a bad option defensively. He'll add energy, ball retention, can knock it past a man and put in decent crosses. I'd start him at RB now, though not convinced with the two holding midfielders left. I.e. watt and Songo...

 

Where is Daly going to play? I'd have him down for the number 10 role, but we saw Walker played well there on Saturday, although he did look good out wide too. Perhaps Walker plays RM and Gillead gives way. I'd still like to see a more dominant central midfielder come in, and a right back (and a centre back and more competent keeper, but that's me being greedy).

He did recently, at the time all he said was 'did you? Well I didn't' when Jamie Raynor said he'd played well

 

Bit too early to start wanking off on it, one good game from Walker, Daly has played well for Hartlepool and the Luton lad is missing in action. The squad was light on quality, the subs bench has been piss poor. If say Cooke, Vernam and Watt leave, you still have the likes of Evans, Kelleher, Lavery and Robinson.

These new signings should be to augment the squad, not replacements for the better players.

Evans for Daly, Walker for Lavery and the squad is stronger. Ditch the better players and it might be a stronger first choice XI but it’s still a dogshit bench.

 

Yes my comment was what Adams quoted at the forum why would he make stuff up, he was quite open as you say after Raynor's comment, I could see a young lad like Crankshaw asking how he stands as he wanted regular football, unfortunately to get it Crankshaw has had to drop a level, if he keeps going as he started at Stockport he could well be in league two next season, fortunately we'll be in league one.

I would take anything Adams says with a hefty fistful of salt... he's very dry. He also said at the forum it's good Sparks is always at the training ground as it's important for players to know who the chief exec is, I can't help but suspect he had his tongue very firmly in cheek when he said that!
