How many times have we seen what appears to be an us and them scenario between fans and players. The season starts with such optimism but quickly descends into failure. The fans then turn and the players retreat into their shell. Time for another clear out before those who haven't experienced the backlash are scarred for life. This club is too big for the majority of our squad and the recruitment should be based around big characters who can handle the pressure.

Going back to Saturday, even if we recruit another 2 before the game, Adams won't play them so I foresee a draw or defeat against the mighty Salford.

Yes I did and I posted it was a piss poor performance but I'm not claiming the players have stopped playing for the manager as you are.

The thing is that players are largely immune from their performances whilst managers are expendable. I struggle to think of any other occupation where this happens.
For sure the manager has some responsibility, but when Adams inherits 15 players, of the 25 man squad, then 60% are not his players and some that have come in, you wonder if they were actually down to Lee Turnbull, rather than Derek Adams.

That’s football. Always has been and always will be.

Adams was approached in December and Sparks said he had involvement in the squad decisions on who stays etc.

Recruitment managers/directors are part of the game now.

Adams job is to manage and so far he’s been shite!! It’s that plan and simple.

Bradford City fans need to stop embarrassing themselves by looking for excuses and just be fecking honest because of our shite owner, CEO, manager, dancers and certain fans this club is dying!

Which means two things - either Twitter Boy was lying and DA had no involvement at all in the January signings and potentially not full involvement in the (Turnbull) June signings as they were already lined up, or Twitter Boy was telling the truth and Adams is totally inept in terms of his recruitment.

If it's the former then Adams gets some slack as the majority of the squad aren't his. If it's the latter he is fully culpable as the majority are his.

Given we have seen two of those signed last January leave already, I am inclined to believe he had no involvement at that point and he should be judged on any signing post Andy Cook. That includes the lumping great Irish Centre Half who is clearly not good enough for professional football of any level, Oscar Threlkeld who has totally lost any ability he once had, Colon Lavery who hasn't played enough to make any judgement on and Theo Robinson who is frankly useless.

Yesterdays performance would indicate that they have stopped playing for him though.... Infact apart from Sutton have they battled at all this season? Id quite happily get rid of the lot of them.

Without doubt this squad is not performing as they were at the start of the season when we looked a good side, and at times Adams hasn't helped himself with some of his post match comments but I can't put our present form or performances down to not playing for the manager.

We looked a good side because we played three teams that were either in the bottom four or about to go on a losing streak (Stevenage). As soon as we cam up against a good side we were beaten (Orient). Since then we have looked disjointed, unfit, poorly set up and having no motivation apart from perhaps Sutton & Rochdale at home and Swindon away.

The playoffs are gone, we would need 42 points from 23 games. Not going to happen.

Best thing that could happen this year is Adams has a massive clear out in January and we finish somewhere between 12th & 18th.

From years of watching Bradford City we've all seen teams that appear to be alienated by the manager, Docherty, Grayson, Hopkin and many more. What I'm seeing now falls well and truly into that category.

Stevenage came to valley Parade on a great run and were put to the sword, we started their losing streak, Mansfield looked a very accomplished side and that game could have gone either way, can't disagree we've looked very ordinary for a while but as poor as we've been teams have still found us hard to beat with 6 defeats, there are 7 clubs above us with more defeats, that's what has let us down not being able to turn draws into wins because we had nothing up front.

Lets be fair, Stevenage had beaten Bristol Rovers who were absolute garbage at the start of the season and Barrow. When they came to VP they looked awful, like a team that had had two very lucky wins and were ready to buckle as soon as someone hit them hard. They then showed their true colours over the next ten matches or so.

Mansfield had also beaten Bristol Rovers and only picked up 6 points from the next 9 games. Don't get fooled by those first three wins, Mansfield away was the only decent one out of them because they had an identical start to us, and we also struggled to beat a very very poor Oldham side.

You replicate our form since 1st September into those games and we would be struggling to be out of the bottom two. It's a good job that in Oldham & Scunthorpe we have two teams who seem to be having a pissing contest over who can be worst. Adams has 21 days to save our season and potentially his job.

Are we getting a striker in before the game or have we given up?

Not fooled at all Stevenage were continuing on a good run that started the previous season, you can only beat the 11 in front of you and we did, I've said our form/performances since those early day has lacked quality but teams are finding us hard to beat as the table shows, we need to turn those draws into wins.
Like it or not Adams is going nowhere, he has a 3 year deal and sacking him who be another blight of Ryan's CV, sacking Adams would be a crazy decision even accepting we not where most fans would want us to be.

Sick of this group of players.

They talk a good game constantly saying right things in interviews with T@A

Then week after week fail to show up

Anyone else just a little bit disappointed that we haven't brought in a striker on loan or otherwise KNOWING that Andy Cook isn't going to be starting?

We've known for basically 7 days.

It’s difficult to bring in players in the window, we’re not prepared to pay what other teams do-sustainability, other clubs have a greater draw than us, we only want winners.
Make your choice from the above

    Yeah, the 'trotted out' lines.

But we can't really afford to drop any more points, especially at home, especially with how furious the crowd was at Carlisle.

Pressure will be cranked up INSTANTLY if we don't win tomorrow.
