Instead we played Gillead who won't get 3 goals all season.

Good luck to the lad, I'd have been wanting to leave had I found myself behind someone performing like AG.

Gilliead will be lucky to score three more this decade.

    Why?

Ollie always scored a lot of goals at non league level.

Because he had potential yet DA continually picked someone in front of him who clearly wasn't (and looking increasingly like never will) performing.

Dress it up any way you want but given the choice, 99% of football fans would look at the statistics and rightly opt for Crankshaw.

Strange really too given that DA likes to fall back on team statistics after yet another poor result.

He's played for Wigan and Dundee on loan and he was basically an impact sub at every club he's been at outside non-league.

I imagine there's a reason for that, but had he signed on the back of the stats at Stockport rather than his poor stats at those bigger clubs, I'd probably agree with you; as it is, the stats he presented are pretty similar to Gilliead's (1 goal in 19 appearances at Wigan, 1 goal in 6 appearances at Dundee), and I don't think he's as good a footballer. While Gilliead isn't the man for us right now, he's still a better technical footballer than Crankshaw and Ollie did little to give any other reason why he should have been picked.

After what we've seen you're still trying to spin a case for Gillead to be selected?

Night JB, I've not got the patience for a wind up at the minute.

Not really, I'm not a fan of Gilliead's output, I think it's crippled us.

But I'd favour league standard players over non league standard players, as would Derek Adams, so it can't be that silly.

Gilliead is a waste of a shirt, but I've no patience with this thread getting bumped every time Crankshaw breaks wind. Can we just leave him in the past now and accept that Adams seems to have dropped a big one with this ?

That all depends if you're not intelligent enough to know that playing for a non league team doesn't necessarily make you a non league player and vice versa.

You only need to look at the Wrexham, Stockport & Chesterfield squads to do that. There's real quality in all of them. If we could pick the best third from each we would walk this league at a canter. Especially upfront. I predict the National League will either become "division five" very soon or go pop because of the number of sugar daddies funding it.

Would regionalising League Two and adding the National League as part of that (two up from each) really be a bad thing ?

I would definitely favour merging league 2 and the National League and regionalise it. Better to be travelling to the likes of Stockport, Halifax and Altrincham to Exeter, Crawley and Newport

His goal yesterday in the Altrincham romp takes his tally to 9 in 15 for them.

Came on as a sub and scored. Seems he has found his level.

The problem is that we're carrying players who are clearly also at that level

With the stats above you’d expect him to start every game.

    Zero.

He's too old for Queensbury Celtic and the White Horse won their first Sunday alliance game of the season the other week so I can't see them wanting to rock the boat.
