1. when did I explicitly say you wanted him sacked? Be honest though, if we lost five in a row you'd want him sacked I wouldn't. sacking bowyer was a mistake
2. not at all, I expect the team to be a tiny bit better. like i said to you, give him the windows he needs not the windows you want.
3. if we sack him then it becomes a waste.

you need to stop expecting instant results. give me one example where a manager comes in and instantly makes them a top side.

I am not looking for instant results as you seem to think. We are into December nearly half way into our season and we are getting worse not better.
As I have said we need to look for an improvement in this playing style and results because currently there is not many positives I can see.
What’s this about windows he needs? Sparks was the one who said we have built a promotion capable squad and that was our number one aim this season. We are absolutely no where near so now we move the goalposts? Why? He’s failing miserably. All I want is people to tell it how it is and stop making excuses for adams. He may be a success but currently he looks way short. Bowyer was doing a better job with only one window.
I have not advocated for the manager to be sacked but he must be called out for the shite he is serving up. So far he’s blamed the recruitment, the owners and the players. Take some responsibility and admit you’ve got it wrong.

Sparks was giving it large for ticket sales and most of the dependable players have been out injured. there are always growing pains when changing managers.

to reiterate I have not seen a manager get instant results after a change. Adams did not get plymouth nor morecambe in his first season in charge. Don't you worry, if he says next season he has a promotion squad I would be on him. at the minute he needs the benefit of the doubt.

To play devil's advocate, Ben Garner went in to Swindon, built a squad in about 2 weeks and has them sat third.

Its a strange one. Because reading these posts back, there's so many different ideas, theories and tangibles.

How did T&S get that team turned around? How come T doesn't seem to have any impact anymore? Why did Sparks come out with that bold statement about promotion? Why did Turnbull get sacked? Did Adams sign the players before he came here, or was that the reason Turnbull left the building? Why didn't we sign the players we wanted in the summer? Why didn't we build on those good performances early season? Why do we have so many injuries? Why does it look like we've lost all confidence on the pitch? Why has Adams lost his winning mentality? Why haven't we heard from Rupp? Why hasn't Sparks come out and addressed our current position? Why have our supposed leaders on the pitch been so disappointing?

The list goes on and on. So no, I don't think we can blame one particular person, its just a sum of ALL the parts coming together (or falling off). As I wrote earlier, I can't see January bringing any changes, so we're going to have to hope for some T&S like miracle results to get us into the playoffs I think. And if we don't get promoted this season, will Sparks fall on his sword for failing to achieve one of his KPI's?

 

That was to adams as he continually blames everyone else. The players, the recruitment, some ridiculous sound bites about deep running issues at the club. Nothings improved yet.

 

Southgate's done a good job for England since he became manager. Ranked 4th in the world now, best ever position.

so in your books criticising a manager after he has been in the job for less than 6 months is valid? if i go into mcdonalds and say my burger is too beefy is that valid criticism? or is it just whinging for the sake of it?

he "built" a squad, Derek hasn't had time to do that yet.

 

Both of them made 10 signings in the summer so Adams has had the same opportunity that Garner has had.

 

I still think Adams will be our Peter Taylor when he came back in late noughties was it?
All this bluster of he will get us promoted look at his CV at his previous clubs and it will work here. And he failed and his football wasn’t great either.
