Or they don’t really fancy playing for City for a variety of reasons. Better to get players who are keen to come.

He is another player like Gilliard that flatters to deceive. Can look a decent player in odd spells, but actually brings very little value to the team as a whole, in my opinion.

If we get an offer for Watt we will take it, Rupp will need a new racing Porshe soon,

Not everything he tries comes off, but he's one of a few who doesn't play it safe and looks to make things happen.

That's fair comment, I just get frustrated at the amount of "blind" balls he plays when under no pressure whatsoever.

If he could learn to be more in control and selective of the times he plays the longer, quicker balls I think he'd be much more of an asset to the side.

Disagree. He's a good player who will do better higher up, but not suitable for League Two. If we can sell him now and get a decent sell on fee we will make more and can bring in a player who can boss league two rather than one who plays the hollywood passes.

He's the sort of player who, with decent coaching and better players ahead of him, would flourish. If I were a League One club, possibly even championship club, he's worth taking a punt on for a couple of hundred grand.

Agree. And that couple of hundred grand could easily transform our season.

Not if we recruit as we usually do.

I'd much rather we find the money in other ways. Selling one of the few players who looks like he could play at a higher level, doesn't smack of ambition to me.

Said it before you can tell Watt has been developed at a top club, he’s got some skills, sometimes it just seems like he has no football brain. And his tackling, he makes Paul Scholes look like Bobby Moore.

I really don't think we need too much. 2 players could massively transform the team. Centre forward with pace, and a dominating midfielder. We don't need massive changes

It didn't do Paul Scholes any harm, did it...?

I think Watt is fine. We create chances aplenty, and the back 4 is actually pretty well protected. We tend not to get over run, most of the goals we concede tend to be down to individual errors by people in the back 4. We need more quality at the top and back end of the pitch. I think our midfield is fine, especially if we can use Songo'o in there more often.

As has been said a few times on this thread, we concede a lot through individual errors, and are frequently near the top of the XG tables, with little outcome.

Football smarts is something i think we need to pick up on too in the second half of the season. Like for example, we have committed the 3rd most fouls in the league with 212 so far, but 9th in cards, showing we are giving away too many petty fouls where the opposition just get the ball back. We are also the 2nd least fouled team, only drawing 159 fouls so far. Given we always have a high XG from chances created, showing we have a good amount of time in the other half, that stat should be way higher. Either we aren't going down enough, or we aren't committing defenders enough in dangerous areas but we need to make more of our time on the ball.

We've delivered the 4th most crosses with 338 and tonights opponent Tranmere the top with 373 (could be an aerial watch later on). Maybe we aren't hitting the right balance in midfield? Or the wide men just don't attack a defender enough? But everything shows the lads popping the ball in the box should have far more assists than they do.

I like his passing ability but he’s probably 12/18 months down the line for our team. We need to be tougher and get some results. If watt going raised 100k+ for 2/3 players we should take it
