Just had a listen. Bottom line = don't expect anything different in how we approach our transfer business in January, than how we approached the summer. So we'll be in this league for the foreseeable.

 

That old chestnut eh? Three years in a few weeks since he left, only ROD still here and he’s on a new contract, the McBurnie money was a record transfer fee received.

Until they change my mind by publishing the full accounts for the period since Rupp and Rahic took over so we can judge on hard evidence what the mess was, anyone still blaming Rahic is in my opinion either deliberately misleading or plain lazy.

Six months ago it was buy season tickets, 1903 membership, shirts, sponsorship and any old shite on eBay so we can get promoted. Now it’s the old rAhIC lEft US iN a MesS rubbish so we can’t sign any new players.

Rahic AND Rupp put us in the mess, one with reckless spending the other by not having his eye off the ball.

One is a pariah, one is a saviour.

I’d like to know
What happened to the Crankshaw money so we could sign a free agent?
How much does ER Sportsgroup charge the club in management fees and/or loan interest?
What’s the plan for 2022/23 if we don’t get promoted? Do you still expect to sell as many season tickets and sponsorship? If failure to gain promotion is failure, why should my business sponsorship be associated with failures?
Despite your promises, why haven’t you published the full accounts?
Alex Gilliead? Why? Who decided a two year contract was a good idea?
Stefan Rupp? What’s his exit strategy?

You comment above is a little worrying if it's been that dispointing following Bradford City for the last 20 years if not ever why have you continued to do
so, surely that's when YOUR club needs your support ?.

 

Not sure how you got that out of the interview when Sparks' first 2 answers to listener asked questions covered the following:
- Club has recovered financially
- Club is now operating sustainably
- No need to rely on player sales or cup runs to cover shortfalls, all future "football fortune" will go entirely on football side
- Accounts will be published in March
- Money in budget available in January
- Possibility of SR/RS increasing budget if Adams thinks we need to

But that doesn't really square up with his stated ambition of promotion unless he's changed his mind on that the same way he changed his mind on a director of recruitment and promoting our own juniors.

I'm assuming you sent in the above questions as requested? Once you've listened to the actual interview you may form a different opinion and you may not. At least give it a go before pre-judging.

 

And now it's sustainable. In this day and age, sustainability is an absolutely massive thing.

 

So is measured investment by owners seeking to grow the club they own.

 

Good luck expecting that then.

 

To be fair that's not easy in an industry where no one seems to measure their investments in any way shape or form lol there is no worse run industry than football it's all good money after bad

 

Oh, I don't expect it.

 

Football isn't really an industry you buy into, if your primary interest is making a profit. That's not to say you can't invest wisely or think about your investments from the point of view of making a return though.
