Live on TV for those who think we are never on TV. I guess the big question is (if Cook is injured) do we go with Angol & Robinson from the start against a team in pretty good form or do we stick with Saturday and start with Robinson alone.

At risk of being lambasted by the man who says a point is never a good result, and is defeatist, a draw away at a very good Port Vale team will be a an excellent starting point.

I would start with same team as Exeter game. I presume he will be resting most of that team tonight against Sunderland.

Robinson should be up for this against the club who discarded him.

I agree, a point would be a good result for us, but don't tell Fordy

If we were in the top 6 then a point might be considered okay, but the fact is we're 12th and we need to start winning. A point to keep us bang in mid-table is not good enough.

If we play the way we normally play we'll get chances and if we take them we will win no need for settling for draws because if we draw we probably wasted our chances

I think a draw is realistic but a win is very possible we are good enough but the forwards will have to click

Second time in a week that Port Vale have scored five (dont tell Fordy though-it was only the scouse kiddies),

Which is good news as they are not going to do that again are they,

Their confidence is going to be sky high though

I'd set up as we did against Swindon, if Cook's not fit then Angol up top with Robinson.

Expect the same formation as Swindon away chaps. It worked well imho.

I would trust Angol and Robinson to do a job but I fear Cook might be out until well into January, gonna be a tough one..

Disagree, a point away at a team above us, is them losing two points

It’s also us losing two points which could be argued is more important to us as we’re aiming to catch them.

A point suits them more than it does us.

A point suits 2nd place, could go top with a win, scored 24 goals in their last 7 games, won 10 and drawn 1 one of their last 12 games Port Vale against 12th place Bradford City? :joy:

Absolutely. A point there would be a great result. Of course we want to win every match, but we also have to be realistic, that said, this is exactly the kind of game I could see us winning.

Good grief, Vale have scored 17 goals in their last 4 games...

Even if two are cup games, that's DAMN impressive.

Anyone remember us going on such a scoring spree?

Disagree imagine if we were second at home to 12th place who have won 3 in 15, would we see a draw as suiting us or would it be two points dropped?

Generally speaking taking a point away against an in form side is a point gained.
