Adams may not use the same tactics at home to FGR. Listening to his interview he looks to adapt his game plan to match up the opposition. Also having listenined to the interview a couple of times he isn't interested in any negativity towards his tactics from wannabes coaches.

I've only missed one away game (Newport County due to work), forgotten how much I enjoy the away days.
The security staff were funny at Swindon. After the game a few City fans were walking across the car park singing "Bradford Boys we are woh, woh, s**g your women and drink your beer" this big burly bearded security guy started laughing and said in a West Country accent "well you'll find our beer alright, not so sure about the women"

Look this is a topic that everyone has a view on, that's what forums are there for. Nobody is right , nobody is wrong (not even Fordy).
When it comes to away games it is quite often down to personal finances and Bradford isn't exactly a high wage economy.
Personally I try to go to all the games, home and away, booking holidays when I am on shift that day (I work continental shifts). However I am due to retire in 18 months and then I may not be able to afford the away trips.

Wonder if you would have posted this if we had got beat again
Mr Adams is his own man I grant you that
Fair play he did what lots of fans wanted and played 2 recognised strikers
Wannabe coaches made me laugh it's all about opinions and in my very humble opinion we needed someone to take some pressure of Cook
Now the "love in" towards Mr Adams has restarted you must remember we have been fans before he was appointed and will be fans after he has left so entitled to post our opinions whether he is interested or not

Your last line sums up exactly what a forum is about, agreeing to disagree, without falling out. We are all City fans, with different points of view.

Will you calm down and untwist you knickers, I was neither being confrontational or opinionated, I was just pointing out how after listening to what he had to say, how I felt Adams viewed things, no more than that.
"Love in". What's that all about?

By the way I agree with you about taking the pressure off Cook. I hope that doesn't sound like I am having a "Love in " with you now.

Did many fans have called for Vernam to be dropped? i certainly did not. i was perplexed at that but in all fairness he had a plan that worked to perfection.
he also tried two up top against Hartlepool. which didn't work

i think he took the wannabe coach jibe to heart :joy:
you and Derek broke his heart, he was dead set on being Bradford's next manager after wining the papa johns trophy on FM22

I don't have a problem either way @1975citygent@1975citygent fans decide if they want to go or not attend away games for many reasons, but for a fellow poster to say he doesn't go to away games and then to criticise our away following is a little rich IMO, but as you say and I agree everyone is entitled to their opinion, unfortunately when it's shared on a forum then expect it to be challenge by posters with a different view.

I suppose this reopens the Saturday Ifollow debate again. I only attend a few away matches a season and they will be the closer ones. Not that I can't afford the money but I can't afford the time to travel to Swindon for example. That said I would happily pay the full price of a matchday ticket to watch it on ifollow. There must be hundreds if not thousands of fans like me. That's a lot of revenue lost

People would get used to ifollow too much and watch too many games that way instead of making the effort to watch home and away games live. This would impact on atmosphere for me.

I would have watched the game on I-Follow. I didn’t go to Swindon and am unlikely to do so, unless it was the last game of the season and we were in a promotion position.

I’m going to be blunt on this one, the older I get the less I can be ars*d to go to matches, I just don’t want to spend my weekend travelling, dedicating my two precious off days to football, in fact it’s worse than that, I can’t be ars*d going to VP on a weekday night or even a Saturday if it’s cold and rainy. When I was younger I’d go home and away, my son has taken up the family mantle & went to Swindon as he does most away matches, but and I can’t stress this enough, I buy my season ticket i spend money at the club shop, but I just don’t want to go all the time.......
I might be a fair weather fan BUT........
I’d pay full ticket price for away I-follow, I’d pay a tenner per game on top of my season ticket to watch matches when it’s cold and rainy. Not having I-Follow doesn’t mean I’ll turn up desperate for my City fix, it means I have to put up with AK on radio Leeds (minimal income for the club)!
I get some peoples fears but I can only see I-follow as a massive revenue stream, I don’t see any downside, if any on here or the league want a steer they only have to look at how sky TV revolutionised the premiership. Income through the roof as are attendance figures.
To reiterate.......if i-follow is available I’ll spend additional money on it, not having it won’t make me attend any more home or away.

If you get a VPN then every league game, home or away, is available to you on iFollow. I paid my tenner and watched the Swindon game from 'Spain'.
I go to a small number of away games each season. Being able to access games on iFollow won't make me stop going to home games, nor make me miss away games that I would otherwise go to. I'm putting money into the club through my ST and iFollow. It's a win/win for me and the club.
