Same here. They behave well, do well in school, they get to go to the cinema or bowling. Misbehave, and they have to watch City games with me.

I don’t boo and thought it was crazy when Evans was booed coming on against Rochdale, that said Tuesday night if anyone bothered to stay to full time then I can’t blame them to much as long as it’s aimed at everyone not just an individual.
That said I’ve never booed as like on Tuesday when it’s that bad I’m well out of the door by full time, think I left after 70 again Bristol City under Parky. Earliest ironically I’ve left was a 4-0 win against Walsall when we had that freezing rain which I’d never seen before, left at half time after watching the first half on the concourse and warmed up at North Parade.

I’ve left Blackpool at half time on 2 occasions.
Can’t remember the year but we were 4-0 down at half time and we were sat in the temporary stand.
The other time was when we lost 5-0 under Grayson.

Can anyone imagine anyone booing in the Bradford End and the end result?

That’s why it hardly ever happened from memory and when it did it was cut short rather quickly!

Comparing 2 very different eras there though to be fair, fan/player relationships are very different now.

Why….. .It’s the club one supports ,through thick and thin, even when the going gets tough.

    It wouldn’t have happened …simple.

You pay your hard earned money, you're allowed to show discontent if that's how you feel about their performance - simple.

Even Simpler, if you did that’s your choice EVEN SIMPLER.

I dare say you would find somewhere else to hide the next game. That’s how it was like it or not. We had too many Leeds winkers roaming around Bradford to deal with, our own “ supporters” KNEW BETTER.
Anyone from the old school on here will say exactly the same. That’s how it was, it really is that simple. People didn’t hide behind keyboards in those times, they didn’t exist! I get a sense you have no idea that you know what Bradford was like in the 60’s and 70’s. Doesn’t make it right but that’s how it was. Punches thrown amongst City fans in the Bradford End were more common than people think..Todays football City crowds are thankfully less partisan these days. Don’t mix the eras up ! That’s how it was put simply.

I don't disagree or disbelieve anything you're saying - I'm not disputing what did or didn't happen on the terraces in the 60s and 70s, I'm talking topically about the issue of booing in 2021.

If you wish to live by 60s and 70s terrace rules in 2021, that's your choice and that's cool also - but if people want to boo if the team gets d*cked 1-3 at home to some utter dross who haven't scored in 8+ hours and not mustered a point away to Stevenage, Sutton, Barrow et al yet turn up at VP and score 3 whilst we play like a bunch then those paying fans are absolutely entitled to show their discontent.

You can agree or disagree with that, which is fine either way, but that's just how it is, "like it or not".

Nothing to stop modern day footballers getting more involved with fans, but your correct back in those days the players were very approachable.

Hartlepool aren't utter dross though they're in the same division we are on merit so it's a bollocks argument. They outplayed us on the night

I remember being in the old Bradford End and I think we were losing 1-0 to Wrexham going into injury time. One of my mates let out an enormous 'Boo' and I can still recall the old boy next to us saying 'that doesn't help...and it hurts my ears!'
Oh, and we scored 2 goals in injury time and everybody went nuts :brig:
