So you wouldn’t like him gone?

 

Who ? No-one in their right mind would advocate sacking Adams, and we cant sack O'Donnell until the police arrest him for impersonating a goalkeeper due to the emergency loan rules.

 

I think Trevor would like both gone judging by comments, but I was being specific to the keeper.

 

No I would not like either to go, Am sure Adams will bring success to the club he just needs time, He may be a frustrating type but that is the way he is, On ROD I think he is a decent number 2 and would keep him as such if cheap but we need better for the first choice be that Hornby or another,

 

Who decides whether a point of view is valid though? Surely that's what this forum exists for, to enable free speech and offering differing view points. Trying to stifle debate against, say, your own viewpoint for example, is unhealthy and would render this forum defunct. That I don't want , as I do get a chuckle most days at some of the posts people make on here.

Long may wildly differing views be made and debated on here.

 

Hard to disagree with any of that, what I would say is I think every city fan would have happily seen Hornby let go for an improvement in net. Wasn’t meant to be and we’re left with 2 average league 2 keepers.

 

Prior to tonight, the opposition had had 40 shots on target, 25 saved by O'Donnell (I think he played every game) and 15 going in.

Saves 62.5% not sure if that's impressive or not

 

Its Not.

Most League Two Goalkeepers have a save percentage of 70% or above.

Albeit, A goalie is only as good as he defence that is ahead of him.

 

That's your right. Doesn't mean you are right of course.

 

O'Donnell is one of the worst keepers bcfc have ever had
I don't know about his eyesight but any header or shot from over 10 yards out goes past him
He cannot catch a ball
Does not know how to command his area
His distribution is poor if this is instructions from the management I don't know to kick it long when the opposition centre half's are winning it or goes short when attacking player from opposition are nearby
I cannot think of 5 worse goalkeepers we have ever had

 

I can only think of three. Billy Punton, Robert Zabica and Brad Whatshimname from Liverpool.

 

To be fair Gordon Banks would look poor with this lot protecting him, free headers , poor marking players allowed to run and run, no challenges, most crosses go unchallenged etc his confidence must be shot......Oh I like Songo but he does not have centre half savvy

 

I have not been one for singling ROD out, keepers make mistakes but last night took the biscuit, a poor cross into the near post and he makes a mess of it after which the team rarely looked like getting back into the game.

 

Last night ROD was playing the game like we were leading. Slow dead ball kicks, carefully placing the ball and taking ages. No urgency at all. He can clap though.

 

Are you stark raving mad?

Have you witnessed the number of managers we've gone through since Parky left? Can you tell us, what good as it done us?

Can you also tell us how Plymouth, Rotherham and Wycombe have done in recent seasons - as according to you they should have also have sacked their managers after 4 months.

Amazing that some fans, think that sacking managers every 6 to 9 months actually works!!!!!

Adams needs to stay to unwind all of the previous losing, weak livered no Hwyly mentality that has dogged this club for ages. Oh and Sparky boy is very quiet.... fixing the toilets maybe
