Where have you got this from, this is not what it says on the Covid 19 response Autumn and Winter plan as provided in the link on the official website. It states the following.

My understanding of the term "mandatory vaccine-only" might differ from others, but that doesn't include testing or prior positive tests.

But they are, because you support this scheme and have scrutinised it all from top to bottom in order to support it so you wouldn't be quoting rubbish about negative tests being acceptable when they aren't because you are fully behind this restriction as it is better than nothing and you clearly have covered every part of it.

The information I posted is how the current NHS COVID pass operates, as currently used in Wales.

Regardless of the wording in the Autumn and Winter plan, I can't see them using anything other than the NHS COVID pass.

And yes, the NHS COVID pass could be changed to delete testing / prior positive tests, but that would have consequences elsewhere and I suspect either the wording in the Autumn and Winter plan is poor or the consequences haven't been properly thought through.

As I said in my original post "As things stand at the moment".

But you can have a lateral flow test and attend, so not being vaccinated doesn't stop you attending. You have decided not to attend

The wording in that document is very clear.

If Plan B is implemented, at that point the NHS COVID Pass will change to display full vaccination only.

What happens in Wales and what you think is irrelevant to the actual text in the Governments Autumn and Winter plan, which clearly states it will be vaccine only.

You might want to go read the governments autumn/winter plan again.

I would guess what is written in the governments autumn/winter plan is closer to the truth than Ryan Sparks interpretation of the rules.

Phew, glad it’s only the COVID vaccine that’s an issue, imagine the outcry if we had to have mmr, tetanus, diphtheria and all them pesky things. I wonder how many of our anti-Vaxers grace VP having had previous vaccinations.

I’m double jabbed but don’t agree with a vaccine passport for the simple reason that I don’t actually think it will reduced Covid transmission much. It’s clearly a cynical way to get those not jabbed to get a jab if they make it vaccine mandatory which if they don’t actually makes them even pointless as tests can easily be wrong. That said I’d advise anyone to just get the jab it’s a little needle you don’t even feel, unless you’re exempt on medical grounds of course.

I feel for not just the club, but any business this action by the government will effect as they simply have to follow the law.

Hopefully it will be a false dawn like last time but with cases rising they have to look busy…

I went to the first home game of the season against Oldham and felt so uncomfortable I haven't been back since. I had hoped that some basic precautions would be in place but I was sadly disappointed. I don't bear the club any ill-will and it's clear that the great majority of supporters are happy to carry on as if there was no virus around. As cases and deaths continue to rise inexorably though, I feel my caution is justified but that's just me. I would never dream, however, to ask for any sort of refund. I'm perfectly happy for the club to have my money and use it as they see fit. I support the club as I always have done and appreciate that, like many organisations, they are in a tricky position. I hope that things change for the better and I will feel able to return later in the season but I'm not going to get all precious about it in the meantime.

I have had both jabs and would encourage everybody offered it to do the same, and I hope most people I sit close to have been vaccinated also. Being vaccinated though does not mean you cannot get the virus and spread it , so on that basis then why should a vaccinated person have any more preference to entry than somebody unvaccinated.
I also think it would be unworkable at the turnstiles, they have all on managing to simply scan the season tickets, someone told me they once forgot there ticket but managed to gain entry with their tesco clubcard!

I think the answer to your question comes down to risk management.

looks like most recent data shows the vaccinations do reduce transmission , even if this does reduce over time

Now that COVID-19 passports are to be introduced, from next week, please use this thread to discuss how they are to be used at City's matches and any associated logistical issues.

After this evening's announcement it looks like they will be required for all seater stadia over 10,000 and other stadia over 4,000, so that will probably apply to nearly all City's matches.

Any debate about the rights and/or wrongs of COVID-19 passports, and other general COVID-19 debate/comments should go in the 'COVID-19' thread in 'General Chat', which is where a number of such posts have already gone.
