    Christ!!

“Adams has spent so much time and energy trying to piece a team together in his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation throughout this season, despite repeat reminders that he does not have the personnel to do so. The system exposes David Fox defensively and reduces his influence on the ball. Meanwhile, it has also resulted in Yann Songo’o partnering him in midfield more than any other player, and he has certainly not had a season approaching the standard that some claim he has.”

A bit of a concern that he's got there in four months rather than four years, but it's clear he's not the type to take any responsibility.

With Saturday's innuendo post match interview, he's managed to divert attention to off pitch matters.

Whilst that article highlights a lot of concerns, it also concludes that the positives of his tenure far outweighed the negatives. He isn't here to be everyone's best mate, he's here to further his cv and hopefully bring us success in the process. If that ruffles a few feathers along the way, so be it. God knows they need ruffling.

Agree, didn't Parky ruffle a few feathers during his time at Valley Parade, the state of the playing surface being one.

Very true, he wasnt a shrinking violet when he didnt get his own way. Quite a few similarities here, namely Parky ditching the Recruitment Chief in Archie Christie. promotion in 22/23 it is then, as long as we don't have to play in hoops next season because of some stupid nostalgia over the anniversary of a promotion season.

I hate us playing in white.

In fairness, Morecambe were 12th at this point last season... only one point ahead too.
also worth mentioning newport were right up there to end up in the playoffs at the end of the season... loads of time.

I agree with those who feel we need a complete shake down and I can't wait for Adams to front up publicly to officialdom. As he is serious about changing our fortunes as a Club,I think he will be reminding the CEO and others that you have to get your homework right for results to follow. He obviously trusts in his own ability but is now having reservations about others...and I think he will want these issues addressed asap. Well I hope he does poke our Club with a big stick and is the catalyst for change we are all longing for.

Well that wont last long only until Saturday when the on pitch matters will easily eclipse the off pitch matters.

Songo'o certainly doesn't seem to come out with much credit either!

Like Adams, Songo'o is here for what they see as a free hit.

It all feels to me like when Peter Taylor came to us. Everything was pointing towards his promotions and the great jobs he did at Hull etc. All the talk was of promotion in pre season and big budgets and we’d get up because of who he was.
He signed ex players he knew and we had good games but generally a lot of middling games and then a lot of bad ones.
His style of football was ok when winning but god awful when losing.
    Feels like deja vu

We’ve had a who’s who of previously successful managers haven’t we?

Taylor's football was awful even when winning, seem to recall the team being booed off after one particular win over Stevenage I think it was?

Pre GR we had football over the bottom 2 leagues and nearly got into the top division?

Between the years 1985-1989 we were in the second tier purely and simply from the youth that came good. Ie. McCall, Hendrie, Jackson, Abbott etc.
But when we needed that final bit of investment from the owners they didn’t commit and that potential of top flight football was lost.

in comparison in 1999 we brought in Windass and Sharpe and they got us over the line. Without them we’d never have seen the PL
