What he said in the interview was spot on in nailing the utter complacency of previous managers and the shoulder shrugging nature of our club in the past. I'm glad we at last have a manager who's telling it like it is - ergo, there is a reason why this great club has allowed itself to be shite for far far too long. Long may he stay here and turn us around.

 

He won't walk. Adams is a proper serious manager with a long term plan for City. I think too many people are underestimating this guy. He's here on a mission not for another pay day. Come back to me in 18 months time.

 

@Allotment Bantam is quite right if he was publicly disrespecting MrSparks and Mr Rupp it will only end one way
Mr Rupp won't be bothered who's in the managers seat he has no interest but if he is being disrespected that's another thing regardless of how good Mr Adams thinks he is he will be shown the door

Hope he does better than he did at Plymouth and Ross County then,yes he got them promoted but was despatched when he couldn't maintain the progress something he will have to do here
He didnt even try with Morecambe who look like they will hold their own without him

Who are we going to sign!?? Its a dreadful window where there is very little movement of players of any quality. If anyone on here thinks any cash is going to spent then you’re in for a shock.
Our first fixture of 2022 is 15 league games away. Unless this group of players and manager pull their fingers out then it really doesn’t matter what kind of January we have.

What !!!!! Adams pulled up trees to get Morecambe promoted on one of the very lowest, if not the lowest, budgets in Lg 2. You have to be bloody as a manager to pull that near impossibility off. Give this guy some time. Still early days. He'll get us up.

Simply, poor from back to front. Both soft goals, sitting off and flat footed. No communication, no desire, lacking shape and poor Cook totally isolated. Won so many headers but bugger running off the shoulder.

Gilliead and Evans. Good grief. Good fecking grief.

Booed off at half time, gods knows at full time as had gone.

I said last week he’s a different player since his comeback from injury. Poor for me!

 

He got them promoted in the weakest league ever most teams were aiming to complete the season still live and kicking, a good achievement for Morecambe nevertheless
Baffles me why he didn't try his hand at consolidating them there
Am all for giving him time goodness knows our club needs stability, at the moment he's not living up to the preseason hype and if you are thinking Mr Rupp will splash more cash to get us promoted I think you may be disappointed
He needs to use his talent of getting teams promoted on miniscule budgets and let the team do his talking for him on the pitch
What are you expecting the next 18 months to bring ??

 

We do look to have done the same old that we always seem to have done and that's waste a big chunk of the budget on bench warmers in the hope they wont be needed.

 

Rotten from bottom to core, we need wholesale changes. Nothing on Adams is this. I feel he’s been sold the golden path like us on the 1903 club for a small example. He’s got every club he’s had out of this league, this is on us, something is very very rotten behind the scenes and change needs to happen sharpish. Whether it’s the directors or the owners but we must demand better. Protests maybe the next step.

 

I'm shocked how so many here are blind to see he didn't call out Crankshaw. He wouldn't have mentioned him if he didn't get asked about him. Everyone was poor. Learn to listen

 

Adams wanted a replacement for Angol on deadline day but got Theo Robinson who Adams described as “no Lee Angol”. Lee Turnball left shortly afterwards. There must be a free agent out there that’s worth taking a punt on.

 

Adams pushing them 7 days a week isn’t helping the situation. We’re losing players week after week and don’t have the squad to cope. There’s not much he can do until January so he better get on with maximising the return with this bunch of players. Whinging and moaning for the next 10 weeks won’t help. As someone has mentioned earlier, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him walk as to not spoil his reputation. Blame everyone except yourself and you’ve got the excuses ready made for when you exit stage right.

Hope I’m wrong as we need his ruthlessness, but you need to build a band of brothers mentality, an all for one and one for all togetherness that Parky had. It’s looking easier to see why Songo’O was the only one willing to follow him here, he doesn’t build relationships with players.

 

Then that’s what you say. I understand that he was spoon fed he question, but as a manager it’s his job to admit collective responsibility (including himself) for the defeat, unless Crankshaw made an absolute howler, which he didn’t.
