What's concerning here is the fact that Derek Adams stated before the Lincoln game that he was taking this competition seriously, and those within the club have stated that the income will be beneficial.

We've then gone on to play very strong line-ups in both games and lost 0-3 in each one, without ever looking threatening. So if this is Adams taking something seriously, then is it the players that have an attitude problem?

Or is something deeper going on within the club - Turnbull's departure shortly after he was brought in to change the way the club operates its recruitment suggests so?

What's clear is that something is amiss throughout the core of the club and we don't appear to have any long-term direction.

I thought it might have been a good idea to try Cook and (unpopular) Robinson upfront together, just to see if it works. It will never work if Theo R is not even on the bench. Maybe this man will never be given a chance.

I honestly think he wasn’t Adams signing and will not play for the club or not any meaningful appearances anyway. Think it was the one that tipped Adams over the edge in the summer

Wouldn't you suggest the last few years can be classed as rot, one poor season after another, his CV is as good as any out there and better than most.
Everything looked set for a successful season as I said I still believe it's too early to say were out of it, but something behind closed doors seems to have gone wrong, a guy like Turnbull doesn't go after being welcomed as the man with his finger on the pulse with regards player recruitment, obviously that was not the case and Ryan has backed the manager.
