    See my previous quote on this subject.
    Since he arrived he has been nearly ever present as GK as we meander down the League pyramid.
    It is no surprise that any team with a bad goalkeeper ends up in relegation fights more often than promotion.
    His stats tell all and we are suffering from rank poor recruitment.
    His failure to save the shot sent low to his right hand is the perfect tactic to score against us
    I'm sure Cooper used that as well as turning us around on winning the toss.
    ROD has a flaw that all good managers use and we keep doing picking him

    Don't forget the for two seasons prior to him joining us he was part of relegated sides aswell

    Am I missing something here?

    I wasn't at the game so admittedly I've only seen it once in the highlights but the shot could barely have been more accurate in that it pinged off both posts before going in.

    I get that it was hardly a rocket but it was far from a pea roller too and not one person, in mitigation, has asked the question as to why he was allowed to drift inside, just 25 yards out and still be in 10 yards of space with all the time in the world to line up a shot?

    Should ROD have saved it? Debatable. Should the defence or one of the midfield closed him down much, much quicker? Absolutely.

    The goal is 24 feet wide and OD is 6 feet plus tall. That means that not only did he miss the original shot but it ran along six feet of his body before hitting the other post. It wasn't a fast shot with good reactions he could have got a foot to it before it hit the other post, even from being prostrate on the ground. OD has the reactions of an 80 year old grandma.

    We are 7 points adrift of the league leaders, Roughly the same points ROD has cost us with poor keeping.

    Absolute rubbish, You are making excuses for him and poor ones at that, He lets goals in most keeper save simple as, We will find it hard to get results with a keeper who gives goals away,

    You're wasting your time. Some on here think when O'Donnell is in goal he needs to be a one man defence. Defensive players are absolved of any responsibility apparently.

    He's no better that the bloke he could replace though. That's the issue here.

    If we had a clearly better keeper just kicking his heels then I'm all for it but the truth is that we haven't.

    Ah, apologies. I didn't read it well enough.

    Yeah, Songo'o is a strange one. Perhaps he's not yet up to speed but watching Evans play he can't be much slower.

    Is Hornby no better? He seemed fairly assured during the long good run under T and S, unfairly lost his place after freak half at Carlisle where he was rugby tackled for one goal and battling 40 mph winds for the rest.

    Distribution is miles better and defence albeit a different one to now, looked 100 times more confident in him

    It was predictable that some would try and blame him for the goal on Saturday. The lad has put it right in the corner, not a lot O'Donnell can do about that.

    Yep, if the shot goes in off the post then the last person I'm looking at is the keeper.
