Wasn't at the game on Tues but I thought Threlkeld looked really good in the first 45mins at Exeter on his debut. Obviously that was only a brief look before his injury but you could see why Adams likes him. Was always going to be tough playing his first game back against a good side, expecting him to improve the right side of defence eventually.

Also think that Adams has doubts about Watt and think eventually we'll see Sutton & Songo'o in midfield as a pair. Just judging that on the fact that Adams has hooked Watt in each of the last three games. Was at Leyton Orient and Watt gave the ball away poorly in midfield that led to an Orient attack, he didn't last very long after that. Not taking away from how talented Elliot Watt is, but I do think Sutton & Songo'o might be the stronger pairing for what Adams is trying to do.

 

RE Watt….thats what happened Tues as well. Watt gave away ball cheaply in midfield then went down as if injured - not sure if it was embarrassment for his mistake or genuine. Next minute he was hooked and Sutton came on!

You never know if there was truth in those rumours linking him with a Championship move and if it has unsettled him a little. Hope he regains focus now

Watt certainly appeared if his mind was elsewhere t’other night, unless it’s me putting two and two making 5. Although a reporter did ask the question of Adams. “ We have had no bids” is not the same as we have had no enquiries!
