I’m proud to be drinking a beer I both brewed and developed.
Believe it or not, Tallinn is reputed to be the birthplace of marzipan. There’s even a marzipan museum here. They make little figures, shapes etc. I worked with them on this beer, they provided the marzipan and even made a marzipan bear to feature on the label.
Cracking stout. Marzipan, think almond, orange and chocolate work so well together. I had Terry’s Chocolate Orange in mind when coming up with the recipe.

Looks genuinely interesting. Kalev marzipan I presume? I remember you had a nice Purtse Pale Ale on tap a few years back.

Nothing so interesting for me today; perhaps a Steamwhistle pilsner or two...

It’s from Maiasmokk. Pale ale from Purtse, could have been another beer I made with them: Unicorn Tears. They make good beer.

 

Ah yes; know the Maiasmokk well. But my regular haunt is the Saiakang.

I think the tap just said Purtse Pale Ale, but whichever it was, it was good. Given our win, and the manner of it, I think I'll have to see if I have something more interesting than the Steamwhistle in the cellar. Perhaps some Octupus Wants to Fight IPA (Great Lakes Brewery).

And after this defeat I expect a few more of those Duvels will now be disappearing...

Ottakringer Helles for me, but there's some painting to do first; steady hand needed. The sorrows will just have to wait to be drowned.
