Chases absolutely everything, absolute class act.
We had so many good players tonight.
I have to say it though, I am a
Bit worried about FCD, a lot of passes went astray tonight. I like him and love that he is one of our own but he needs to make sure he makes his pass. I don’t think he had a bad game. A lot of their play came down the right and he handled it well. It’s just his passing.

 

It was mainly his crossing I thought.

He's never looked strong going forwards. Certainly Ridehalgh looks miles more comfortable in the opposition half but as long as FCD keeps defending as well as he is doing then he'll have a chance of getting in the team.

 

What a game that was, thoroughly thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Best game I've watched in years.
A few more like that this season and its going to be one to remember!

his crossing wasn’t his best but that doesn’t bother me to much, not when we are attacking like we are.
I noticed a few passes went astray in our half. Like I said, not a bad performance. I think he will get better as the season goes on.

Best City performance since Chelsea. So refreshing to see us attacking like that after recent years.

So impressive attacking wise in the first half and it allowed us to take our foot off the gas second half.

Vernam produced his best performance for us and Gillead and Cooke also looked brilliant tonight.

Cook - a perfect hat-trick….what can you say.

Angol fluffed the pen but linked up well with Cook early on.

Haven’t enjoyed a half of City like that for quite some time.

Itll be very interesting to see whether we can replicate that level of performance on a reasonably consistent basis. If we can, we look very good for a top 3 spot.

 

I think the question was, 'when was the last time a city player scored a hat-trick in the first half.'

Wyke was the last to score a hat-trick in 2017 against Bristol Rovers, but I think it was Windass who was the last player to bag one in the first half.

 

Wow what a performance that was. The one touch interplay was exceptional for this level and a real joy to watch. Hopefully Angol isn’t out too long but we still need another attacker / striker before the window closes.

By the way, doesn’t Songo’o look a unit?

 

That's the best I've seen City play in years. The 1st half was stunning, with one wee blip.

Wasn't Derek Adams reported as saying a team will take a hiding from us soon. Well his confidence appeared to be fully justified!

Great performance and a great win.

 

What really impressed me was the number of times that we won the ball when it was bouncing around in midfield. That denotes a determination that has been sadly lacking of late.
