    Grave yard for strikers in past. So what’s point of bringing big names. Look at angol average joe even eye was like why??? And pre season so far shown that coach well and you get better player so see what Adams can do. Stockton wasn’t amazing till adams got hold of him

    Would prefer this back up striker to a young loanee like Austin’s for example, least he has the experience of playing in lower leagues etc

    Most goals in a season 10 (2019/20 and the season was ended early). Most league goals in a season 7 (2013/14).

    Interestingly, his 7 goals for Walsall last season all came in matches where he was the only Walsall goalscorer.

    If he gets 10 this season then that will be fine as long as another 4/5 also get ten.

    It feels like we're needing a spread of goals throughout the team.

    We've scored 17 in pre season, 4 against. I don't care who gets them but if we continue with that sort of ratio, I'll be well happy!

    new club , different players around him, who knows . We need goals from all departments. Midfield and defence goal return poor last few years, putting too much pressure on a striker to hit the 20 goal+target.
    I would rather spread around than depend too much on one guy.

    Decent league experience and it’s a squad game. League two and you cut your cloth accordingly. It’s great to have these signings who really want to be at the club and have a point to prove.

    Yes, as far as I know (I don't have birthplaces for all our players).

    I much prefer this type of signing to fill out a squad -- experienced, perhaps with a point to prove -- to the Burrell/Samuels type of raw rookie.

    We certainly need to up our game with regards goals from set pieces, they were something we expected in Phil Parkinsons time, the likes of McArdle, Davies chipping in now and again.

    Really? City released French to sign for Wrexham and then signed a player Wrexham released?
    Angol with a career record arguably worse than Guthrie?
    They might turn out to be great signings, who knows, but they’re a bit meh at the moment
