I reckon our last signing will be a young loan striker. We have missed out on three experienced attacking players/strikers in McAleny, Mullin and Stockton

Bahamboula at Oldham would be a great addition to the squad but cost some money

Yes he was XCIV but now returned to Oldham. Not required at Middlesbro' - they couldn't guarantee him enough playing time.

 

But do you know if we were ever in for McAleny, Mullin and Stockton? I think Adams is very happy to have Cook, Eisa and Angol. Know it's only pre-season, but the three of them already have ten goals between them. All looking sharp.

 

Vernan can be added to that as well. Hit and miss last season but he has got pace and ability and I should think Adams will be looking to get him firing.

 

Stockton for defo he failed to turn up for his medical and then got a extra £500 a week at morecambe

 

We were in for all three.

 

Not all in this window though. Mullin was January.

Stockton didnt turn up for medical - common knowledge. Adams refused to comment.
McAleney got an offer (his mate on here said)

Sorry Botswana Bantam, been out of action this month and now catching up with things. Obviously things have moved on and The Racecourse will be welcoming him rather than VP or indeed any other ground in the EFL (there were heavy links with Charlton). Put simply we're all pretty surprised he's dropped down to the fifth tier but I guess money talks. He was also mentioned in the James Norwood court case over the summer which appeared a bit messy so guess he wanted to head back to the NW for his son and partner's sake. It will be interesting to see how he fares...lots wondering if he was a one season wonder. It was interesting that, as a free agent, he wasn't snapped up earlier. Doubts among suitors? Unrealistic agent? Only looking at NW clubs? Who knows? Guess we'll soon see! Hope you and all forum members are well.

Thanks ...lots have obviously predicted we'll be going straight down but then again we surprised many last season. And we've got Hoolahan for another season. Hope we'll be seeing you in Lg 1 in 22/23. How's Adams getting on?

 

Early days but so far (not that pre-season counts) it’s looking better than I expected.
