    Oldham are playing Burnley today.

They are allowing away fans in which we are not.

Their policy also seems more acceptable than the one thrown out by BCAFC in the fact they suggest masks for indoor areas, where as BCAFC reads as everywhere in the ground which is a ridiculous policy as for the last 3 months the message has repeatedly been to meet outdoors if you can as the risk is low.

    COVID-19 Safety
For both games, the following COVID-19 operating measures are still in place to ensure supporters enjoy a safe experience, despite the complete relaxation of restrictions:

    • Regular hand sanitisation stations will be situated throughout Boundary Park.
    • A recommendation for all supporters to wear a face covering when in enclosed and indoor spaces, such as the toilets.

Of course, because Covid is very rarely deadly to children, so the numbers committing suicide would still be a small figure even if it's five times the numbers of deaths of children from Covid.
What this right wing libertarian two hat is effectively saying is that he'd rather we'd have left UK society open and seen over-50s die in their hundreds of thousands than a comparitively small number of teenage suicide deaths.

Maybe its because in my line of work I see the devastating impacts on children and vulnerable people that lockdown has had on a daily basis, that I feel so strongly about the subject, but the complete disregard people have for anything that isn't a covid death disgusts me.

I have no problems should someone want to wear a mask outdoors it's entirely their choice I have no problems with anyone wearing a mask on the concourses or the toilets only (in the "old" kop they were a necessity) it's not being given the choice other than stay away that rattles my gate
I am of the opinion that wearing a mask is of very little use but that's only my opinion and different to yours which I respect fully Personally I would rather be outdoors breathing unobstructed air and avoid filling my lungs with micro fibres every time I breathe and if that's means missing the team I have supported for over 50 years then that's the price I will have to pay
Am sure I won't be alone in my opinion just like you won't
Clever ploy by the government to absolve themselves of any blame, job half done and no idea how to complete it springs to mind
    ENJOY THE GAME

Don't forget the people who have already died or will die due to late diagnoses, missed operations, cancelled treatments etc.

I'm with you on the wearing a mask outdoors is of little use. I would think the reason they are recommending they are worn at all times is because of the risk of contamination through constantly taking them on and off.

But shouldn't being socially distant negate that

Yes, there is a bigger picture. But that's not the point the tweeter was making.

The level of sacrifice that younger generations have made, and the pressure they're facing to make decisions about a vaccine that they don't really need, for the most part, just to be able to live normal lives is heartbreaking. This whole thing is a shit show, for everyone. We're clearly never going back to how life was. I fear for the world my children are growing into.

Surely you should be aware that the number of childhood suicides haven’t significantly changed if believeing the numbers in the reports that the tweet is about.
    2018 - about 200
    2019 - about 200
2020 - figures bot released yet

This is the hilarious thing when people talk about New Zealand and Australia. I think there's a willful disregard for just how remote they are. They made the most of it of course but they were also blessed with having infrastructure and interconnectivity that wasn't so ingrained with the surrounding countries.

In the short term they did amazing but its also ridiculous to think that all (or maybe even any( other countries could just do the same.
