Credit to Wrexham for been attractive enough I say. They did look at a few other clubs as well.

 

It has made me wonder what attracted them too Wrexham, they have a poor history in English football are in a dump of an area with a run down stadium and are in non league. But something must have made them stand out, I wouldn’t think the price for mega rich people would be such a deal breaker as it’ll take them a fair few million just to get to league 1 and modernise the stadium and facilities. Maybe it’s something to do with off field structure that made them stand out I honestly don’t know, either way I’m jealous and just wish they were looking for a club around 2015/16…

 

Perhaps it's the potential catchment of all football fans in North Wales?..

Not really. Perhaps he sees more ambition in Wrexham than other clubs he spoke to, including us. He's 26 and his contract runs to 29 he may expect to be a Championship player by summer 2024

Cheap, relatively large catchment area, own the ground (?), good potential, ground footprint large enough to develop?

One thing is for sure, it can't be to redevelop the land and move the club elsewhere because they have a stand that is a listed building.

 

Their ground would cost more to redevelop to a high standard with a decent capacity than it probably would for a club like ours to just buy it back, I think owning the ground is overstated by some. They’re mega rich a bit of rent in the grand scheme of things wouldn’t make a difference. For instance if we have a cup game that sells out, which we had 4 in 2 and a bit years then each one pays for the years rent their and then. Regarding catchment area there are less people in the north of Wales than Bradford or most other English cities as most of the population live down south, even then it’s a rugby country and their stadium only holds 10,000 so will cost millions to upgrade to get decent crowds in. I just don’t see how a club that’s spent the last 13 years trapped in non league whilst tiny clubs like Harrogate have even over took them and have spent most of their existence in the 4 tier, has good potential at all. As Sergio said it probably is the challenge, it maybe that they’re such an unappealing investment that they want the kudos of turning round a club with little value. Maybe they just like Wales…

 

And relatively near to Liverpool where I would think many over the years have migrated to watch their football ?.

Unfortunately Bradford is not seen as an attractive city to be associated with. Which is a big pity because despite its difficulties the football club has a great fan base already and with roughly the same investment could really go places but history shows it ain’t going to happen.
