At Brighouse on Wed there were two people wearing masks ! Me and another chap.

For todays game you must wear your mask ! It is not so much for your own benefit as others and if you dont just exposes you as a right inconsiderate barsteward tbf.

The stewards (the ones not at the bar) have a duty to remind people and they should not be ridiculed or dragged into an argument over it.

Cant those who are resisting this see that we will all suffer from their non compliance Either by potentially picking up a serious virus and/or forcing the League/Clubs to stall and limit the return of supporters in August if it proves unsafe.

So please dont be an idiot just respect others and lets all enjoy being "back home" and the afternoon safely.

I have some sympathy with what you say but what I don’t understand is this is only in place for today on August the 14th there will be a big crowd with no restrictions

I bet if that is the case, I have a feeling it won’t be long before there are not big crowds without restrictions. I can’t understand why people get so worked up about wearing a mask when it prevents potential life threading illness being spread. Vaccines in themselves will not stop the spread of Covid.

The messages are conflicting, not from City but the government. You had the tennis with packed crowds, no masks and people sitting closer together, than those who’ll be attending the game this afternoon. Scientists have already said it’s safer outdoors, so unless you’re in the concourse I don’t really understand the need for a mask, especially when sat in your seat, but if that’s the rule then so be it.

I’ve been twice to Headingley to watch Yorkshire cricket and although you are told to wear a mask whilst walking to your seat, going to the toilet or buying drinks, you don’t need a mask while watching the game as you are in an outdoor setting. I’m surprised City want you wearing a mask when sat outdoors. Though I think people should whilst walking to their seats, buying drinks etc.

Im the biggest advocate for mask wearing in the world. In fact I paid £32 for mine and wore it several times yesterday . I’m pointing out the sheer hypocrisy, inane, stupid, regulatory, nonsensical leadership of this complete and utter mess.

So what is the LAW, surrounding mask wearing.”Its a personal choice…” that’s what the obese tosser tells us, but businesses are free to choose how they apply the “GUIDLINES”

    What exactly are the guidlines?

I would prefer to wear a mask, because of medication I am deemed at risk, but do you think I would feel easy, being in very close proximity to someone who has excercised their rights to think about the “ guidlines” and so no “f**k ,I’m excercising mythe right to choose”.

I wouldn’t blame them for doing so, it’s their choice.

So what happens…? After all they followed the obese oafs guidlines and get thrown out of the stadium??

It’s not their fault it’s certainly not City’s fault, it’s not the Councils fault,

We know where the fault lies!!

    Good morning all!

There is zero scientific justification for wearing a mask outdoors. Fair enough on the concourse but don't expect people to wear one whilst sat at their seat.

Food and drink are a good earner for these clubs, that’s why I can’t understand why there will be no catering at City today. Last City game there were free bottles of water but nothing else and they quickly ran out.

Blackburn Rovers will be 'managed' by Mark Venus today, as manager, Tony Mowbray, is self-isolating.

If you are saying this in regards to being in your seat then you are wrong. No one should have to watch a match with a mask on when there is 3, 000 odd people in a 25,000 seat stadium regardless of what the club or council say. Stick one on when you go to the loo but not when your out in the fresh air with no one around you.

Tuesday evenings game must have been a great finacial shot in the arm for Brighouse Town, they did a great job of stewarding car parking, entering the ground, food and drink, a very good night and a well done to Brighouse Town.
I can accept the wearing of masks in the stadium concourse ETC but once in your seat then IMO it becomes a nonsence, and I have championed the wearing of masks in areas where there is close contact with others.

I was also at Brighouse and it was refreshing to see people enjoying themselves and living life like normal human beings.

You wear a mask if you think it makes you feel better.
In fact wear two so you can feel double protected.
Why not wear a hazmat suit? Can't be too careful. Maybe city should start selling them in club colours.

But, even then, you might get struck by lighting, twatted by a stray football, abducted by aliens... even mauled by an escaped tiger.

Maybe best to stay at home after-all, just to be on the safe side.

And on a more serious note, no, it was originally by Shocking Blue and covered in the 80s by everyone's favourite girl group, Bananarama.

Now I'm lost I was quoting Little Richards "She's got it" rather than "he's got it".

The lyrics to 'Venus' are also 'she's got it', I was using a bit of poetic licence.
