Agree 100%. Looks an excellent prospect too. But does anyone have any actual reason to think he's better than Chicksen? I think lots of folk on here give Chick an undeserved hard time.

Good luck to the lad and here’s hoping he lives up to the potential the Leicester fans obviously saw in him. Based on the signings up to press the first team will have quite a low average squad age by the time we kickoff in August. I’m all for youth if they’re good enough but there needs to be a balance. Let’s see how things go.

I'd like to think he's come in as 1st choice, as we needed an upgrade on Chicksen.

But agree we need real, proven quality in attacking areas.

 

He’s ok - not tough enough in the tackle for me. Needs to harden up.

 

I'm prepared to give Chicksen another chance, to be honest. He had a heavily disrupted season, and was particularly woeful in the hammering at Blackpool - but if we're right that we'll be playing three centre backs (surely?!), Chicksen could well be a wing back. He's fine going forward for me.

 

Good to have a bit of competition for Chicksen, looks like a prospect if the DVD is anything to go by.

I agree. He needs a run of games at the start of the season to show what he can do.

Phew! Thank goodness. I never realised Leigh was in the running. No idea why fans rave about him, he'd be another defensive mental lightweight that we simply don't need

 

He could do without KOing himself completely, not dislocating anything, and not getting skinned inside out two hundred times - then we'll see what he can really do!

The guy featured in less than half of our games- and the jury is out as far as I am concerned. Grayson preferred Warnock so to me this questions his defensive qualities - his height means clubs target the far post and from keepers dead ball kicks. We certainly did not get value for money from him last season. Greg Leigh had more league experience - not perfect but a better prospect and would have given Chicksen competition.
Hopefully the new recruit can hit the ground running to provide competition. Early days but I get the impression City are just now in a he business of trying to set up a production line of players to generate profits. Will all this be put back in to the club and the priority strengthening the playing squad by increasing the budget?

You can generate profits and have a successful team. Plenty of others have done it with 'yoof', I never understand the rather myopic memories fans have. It's not as though we have a season on season record of winning success with wily older players or did you miss the 2008 to 2012 seasons

And Killa, NKP, McGowan and Wright looked fairly experienced the last time I looked

And it's certainly hard to make profits from a poorly performing team
