No way over half can be accurate? Is that a decent source?

Unless they're counting symptoms to be do minor it makes zero actual difference?

I am not interpreting. I provided the link. I am not qualified to say if it is or is not a ‘decent source’ (whatever that maybe), it is from a published academic paper.

There's academic papers and academic papers though.

Over half still being affected doesn't seem in the slightest bit logical.

    You would lose that bet.

It's this kind of belittling of people with a different opinion that causes such divisions in society.

    That predates Chris Whitty's statement.

It is quite clear there is lot of things you were completely unaware of since you made your flippant remark regarding seatbelts and your understanding of the situation.

Do you have school age children?

Well he provided nothing other than disruption of school classes as a reason for vaccination of children when asked directly on Monday.

He was directly asked about vaccination of children. He said two things.
First those with underlying health conditions, which puts them at risk which is not unreasonable at all.
Secondly his only reasoning for the rest was less disruption of school, which really isn't a medical benefit.

I feel they are quite happy to scare the adult population witless but draw a line at scaring children. However the message has been getting down to the children with my 9 year old fearing she might kill her grandma due to the endless propaganda pumped out.

so have you looked at actual Journals or any sort of scientific evidence that points toward some vaccines having any form of long term effect? if not you are just assuming that someone has and it sums up my point perfectly.

Frankly i am just tired at the rank stupidity i see day to day. People say "the vaccines might not be safe or cause long term problems". none of these people have any idea where various additives come from in food but eat away. these same people are worried about vaccines but wont worry about drinking alcohol which creates toxins in your body! honestly for me it seems to be contrainain purely for the sake of it.

That being said, I am glad it is a small minority and I hope they change their minds in the future.

what really annoys me is when people say "Its my opinion" but I know fully well will stick to these dangerous beliefs long after covid becomes a normal seasonal illness. these same people hate being challenged on it. these "opinions" are wrong. if everyone was like that there would be mandatory vaccinations no doubt.

if my opinion was that HIV wasn't real and spewed my fake news around saying its a scheme or a great reset, refused any sort of medication (or vaccine if there was one!)and then spread it around infecting other people that would be pretty selfish right? you would think I was stupid right? but for some reason because its covid people are skeptical.

I have tried citing sources and speaking sense but people do not want to listen

    also...

It's this kind of belittling of people with a different opinion that causes such divisions in society.

the fact that people get booed by their 'own fans' yet when told it has nothing to do politically they still carry on, the fact that a journalist was harassed by covid deniers tells me society already has one foot out the door.

P.S I am speaking generally here this isn't a rant aimed at you. I've seen this on facebook and a neighbour too.I did need that whinge though that felt good :joy:

Probably lingering loss of taste and smell. I know several people who've had/got long Covid and that seems to be the thing that lasts longest. The other is a general feeling of fatigue, which is also common in post viral syndrome -AKA ME.

I heard yesterday that two of the main initial symptoms of the Indian variant are different from previous Covid strains. Instead of coughing and loss of taste & smell, the initial main symptoms are headache and sore throat along with high temperature.

I didn't want to know what was said. I was replying to a comment on Bantam Talk. I am NOT using it as a reputable source but I do not have time to check every word that every person in the world has ever said about a topic before I reply.

If you ACTUALLY read the rest of my comments you would know that but it looks like you have just responded to what I put in that comment.

Technically she could if she has the illness even if asymptomatic and passes it on, but same could be said about anyone that her grandma comes into contact

Vaccines for children will not go ahead as risk unknown, ministers to be told | UK | News | Express.co.uk

I said alot of what is being said in this piece last night about not enough data being available, the risk being low to children and that testing in children is way way way behind the testing in adults.

So if those of you who compare vaccination in children to wearing seatbelts and discount what is being forward from people who are concerned about the effects on their children being dismissed because we are talking on the thread labelled "Corona Virus" then I'm willing to listen to why my kids should get vaccinated.

Her grandma is fully vaccinated, and she sees the risk of seeing her granddaughter as one worth taking being double vaccinated over not seeing her granddaughter. My daughter should not be scared witless at seeing her grandma.

Thats the only data you can really go from, because when testing of the vaccine was done it was all in adults. Data on vaccinating children is miles behind due to the limited number of doses in children.
