Sikora signs new contract

Jorge sikora signed a one year deal

 

at 19 it should have been a 2 year deal,

 

Pleased about that I thought he acquitted himself well in the game he played

 

Personally thought both him and Scales would have got 2 years but obviously that's a incentive to him now.

 

He looks like he should be a rugby player in that photo. Bradfords own Adama Traore

 

A one year deal keeps him on his toes sometimes these youngsters think they have made it prematurely. If he does really well his contract can be extended

 

Could be like the others previously make a good early impression and there may be a longer deal waiting for him

 

Its good to see young players coming through the system. It builds the bond between the club and fans.
Also there is the chance of finding that diamond , who really pushes on and does well for the club , playing and financial wise.
Long may it continue.

Always risky that though because if he does make a good early impression then other clubs will be looking at him and he will just sit on the contract.

 

Balancing act I'm thinking.

Look back to last summer, FCD earned a year extension. Kicked on during the first half of season, earned a further 3.5 years in January.

The carrot is their for JS if the will, talent and ability show through. Down to the lad to earn a further extension now. Show early/continuing promise, the club has shown with FCD that a contract extension is available....

Yeah this seems more likely. One year extension taken up.

Suits the player better as he can get out if not playing or interest from clubs that will give him game time.

it would be madness for Bradford just to offer a 1 year contract. Makes no sense.

True, it maybe Adams wants a proper look and six months down the line, one never knows. Problem is how the hell to they get game time without reserves fixtures?. Loans out to good NationalLeague Clubs or whatever they are called these days
