Belgian beer is for sipping. Ask @Zonnebloem@Zonnebloem . British beer is for supping!

I once went into a cafe in Brussels and decided to try one of the 11.5% draft beers. The man actually said to me "Only one," and then when he served me said, "Slowly."

Yep, he had me down for supping not sipping all right!

How did it taste? Some plonker bought me a Duval on my stag do and it was vile. Made me sick. Stupidly strong beer, what's the point?

Good, I liked it, it was very strongly flavoured as well as being very strong alcohol-wise - but it was about 1/2 or 2/3 of a pint or something, the 'experience' was more like sampling a starter at a restaurant than drinking one of many beers and getting drunk.

Most strong beers I've tasted that weren't from Belgium have been absolutely vile, mind you. It seems to be their speciality, strong but tasty beers.

Coors light  tastes like used toilet water in my opinion :joy:

they do blue moon i hope thats in there thats nice. Carling at £3.80 is not half bad either.. San Miguel (which is one of my favourites) was FIVE POUNDS. Daylight robbery that was.

Fosters is the worst lager I’ve had although it was out of a can but it put me off it for life, Carlings the worst out of the pump imo. Disagree about Coors light not to strong, don’t mind a bit of San Miguel if I’m going for something a bit stronger but not a fan of strong lager. Some right Ale snobs on here get it down yer neck it all serves the same purpose ;)

In addition to Carling, its other popular brands - including Blue Moon, Cobra, Coors Light, Rekorderlig and Staropramen - will be available in banqueting suites, at affordable prices.

It’s funny, because yesterday I saw Carling in a Tallinn supermarket for the first time. My past is catching up with me over here! Of course I had to buy one to check it’s still as bland as I remember.

It was, but still was an exciting moment! D49825AA-409D-4229-A4C2-97948A3908AF.jpeg

As a proper ale drinker and biker that photo prompts some questions about your character Tallin; a can of fizzy underpowered pop sat upon a fizzy underpowered moped, or whatever you want to call it, both designed for the U18 provisional license L plate market in the 70's. :p

Anyway...........back to topic...........what about pop-up bars under the stands, inviting in local craft ale brewerys on rotation, and of course fizzy pop will still be for sale with your pie for those such inclined?

Begians drink beer like wine, small glasses and savour. They don't neck it in pints like us neanderthal brits

Its a Vespa GTS 300 Super. 300cc. 140 km/h. I don't think this scooter is designed for the provisional L plate market. The beer evoked my character in terms of memory. I was a brand manager for Bass/Coors Brewers for many a year. The lager might not be so good, but the times I had with the company were. Hope that answers your questions. Thanks for asking!

Add to that the White Swan and Upper George up Wibsey, then at Odsal Top you had the Top House/Mary Shaws. Although I have to admit I started my drinking on electric switch beer at the Moonrakers (as I could get served underage in there). If the police came in either the Bradford Northern players or the Saton's Slaves used to hide me.

Reminds me of the queens in daisy Hill. Electric webbo but we didn't know better and any raids were pre-empted on the bush telegraph as they always raided the Kings in Heaton first.
