Summer 2021 Transfers

Any idea what positions?

 

Seems like this will be the last season of squad restrictions, wouldnt be surprised if it's scrapped for the january window but for this one, there will be a limit. The past season, the squad registration had a limit of 22 players, this coming season it is indeed a limit of 20, and the same as last season, the U21s dont need registering. They class you for the registration rules as your age on July 1st of that season.

At the minute if Hornby signs his deal, we will have 11 players over 21. Plenty of room.

 

Never mind bloody positions..... Give us names.

 

Yann Songo’o would be my guess for one of the names.

 

Can’t see any signing being Songo not yet at least his season only finished on Sunday. Morecambe are reportedly going to offer all out of contract players “good deals”

Look, Bradford City are a bigger club than Morecambe even if its just on paper. The chances of Morecambe staying up are slim. I think many of their out of contract players will leave.

If we want some of their players then they will join us but I am not fussed to be honest. I am not sure they are good enough.

Their version of a “good deal” is (for) fan talk …..you should know better than that Park. And when they don’t accept the “good deals”, “the club tried its best”

Songo’o has played under Adams at Ross County, Plymouth Argyle and Morecambe, which suggests they enjoy working together and most importantly trust each other.

Morecambe may well be offering ‘good deals’ but without wanting to be disrespectful to Morecambe, would their good deal be better than what we can offer?

We offer the chance to play under Adams again, the possibility of another promotion to be put on his CV (Adams has put the pressure of promotion on both himself and the players) and possibly the chance to earn a bit more money.

Morecambe don’t currently have a manager and there’s no guarantee the new manager and Songo’o would get along, Morecambe as much as I’d love to see them stay up I think they will struggle but obviously that depends on who they can bring in. The only thing I see Morecambe offering is League 1 football next year and probably not having to relocate.

 

Also, how can they be offering new deals to every player without a manager in place? What if they agree deals with players then the new guy turns up and says he doesn't want them?

 

Of all the Morecambe players I would expect him to be the closest to a sure thing. Haven't they linked up three times before ? Morecambe dont have a manager so we could sign him this week and they could offer him the moon but lose him.

 

Hes been banging on about it for months. Anyway Lingard wasnt deemed good enough for the final 26. Simply because he isnt. Time to let it go.

 

Also Fordy, what us and Morecambe consider to be good deals might be some away apart

 

Wasn't Songo handed a six-game ban and ordered to complete face-to-face education after admitting a charge of directing a homophobic insult at an opposing player?

He was and he has now served his punishment. Move on

Looks like he could be signing though. Hopefully he does and hopefully folk dont hold it against him.

James Wilson signed for Port Vale would have been good signing I think they will be strong next season
