You live and you learn. I've made plenty of mistakes in my career, but in the main, have moved on successfully by learning from them. I'm sure many on here would admit the same. Sparks has drive and ambition and I like his determination to put himself up there to get knocked down, and to communicate. Something JR was never keen to do.

 

So hiding behind success on the pitch is everything?

So you haven’t got a clue really.. You criticise someone for something you heard in totally unrelated meetings attended by unrelated people about totally unrelated topics, then to cap-it all you criticise the fella for something you don’t have an answer for yourself.

Actually think you might be wrong with your statement about the smaller changes RS has made to date - it is often getting these 'incidental' aspects right that are an integral part of a successful club both on and off the pitch. As a general point you do come across as a bit of a grumpy old git who seems to resent 'younger blood' coming in and trying to make an impact - seems like its been a bit of a theme in your life

 

It was a foolhardy, needless decision. McCall's winless runs only end one way. The decision to keep Trueman and Sellars, disguises the fact that to offer them contracts beyond the end of the season was also a mistake. We are probably keeping them employed in some capacity, rather than paying them off.

A mistake with the next appointment will have severe consequences for Sparks, and probably the club.

I gave you the answer. We'll have to wait for the new season to see the outcome. I just hope I've got a nice shiny seat to sit on.

 

It's a good thing we're trying to keep T&S within the club. Before their work with the first team, and lest we not forget, keeping us up, they have done great things with the young players - hence, Finn Cousin Dawson, Jorge Sikora, Kian Scales et al all being good enough to feature in the first team squad and continue to develop. A lot more down the line, looking promising, for the first time in generations. In terms of the next appointment, it's looking like Adams, who I think is a really shrewd appointment. What he's achieved at Ross County, Plymouth and Morecambe on scant resources is impressive.

 

We've got an ambitious CEO though.

I mean, we need an ambitious CEO who can actually get things done, so we're halfway there.

 

New manager appointed, New players already signed just waiting to be announced, 2 friendlies already arranged again waiting to be announced and a new season ticket plan, Sparky has been a busy lad

 

CEO's are judged over time - certainly longer than 12 months. But all in all, I think he's doing well. More positives than negatives and certainly a more forward thinking CEO than Rhodes was. He very much needs to get this manager decision right though.

I think you completely missed the point of @trevor post. Think of Sparks as the conductor of the Bradford City orchestra
