They need someone to drag them into centre ground. Their core voter is now a woke, out of touch lunatic. Who thinks their echo chamber is real life and favoured by the majority.

    It isn't.

Really? A Goverment with no opposition, wholly unaccountable for their actions? Sounds dangerous to me.

And that is the problem when you have a weak opposition, no one is calling the government out with a United voice. Even if you support the governing party you should still want an opposition that is capable of doing their job rather than arguing between themself

The opposition could come from within on the right of this mostly centrist tory government...

Starmer is fecking useless. Cummings has literally handed him a hand of a royal flush but he is so inept he'll just fold. Cummings being a liar is the only thing keeping Johnson in the hotseat, at any other time Johnsons position would have been untenable.

Well you could have blown me down with a feather when the news broke that dodgy John Bercow has left the Tory Party to become a member of the Labour Party, well to be fair to him he did everything in his power to determine the referendum vote would not be easy for the Tories to get through parliament.
Could be a possible challenge for the Labour leadership if they get him a safe seat in one of the London boroughs, maybe kick Diane Abbott out and give him Hackney North ?.

There must be a black/Asian gay female or trans that Labour could pick as next leader? Maybe someone from the BBC could do?

Bercow is all about getting back in to Parliament, He has no chance of a Tory seat so then tries Labour, an awful character

Maybe he should have joined the Lib/Dems according to Sir Ed they are on their way back, from where to what I ask, as poor as Labour are they will never be serious contenders for government, what a terrible state of affairs our political parties are all in.

The state of the opposition. And we wonder why the Torys keep getting elected.

She was entertaining, that's for definite, but I'm not sure it was that comprehensive of a victory - she made a massive mistake on the UK testing which you shouldn't really do when you're prepping the questions yourself. Yeah Johnson said that the fuel allowance was per week when it's actually per year but you don't actually have to put that much pressure on him before details fall apart.

The energy was refresshing though and a great change from Starmer and Milliband who stood in before *shudders*

Boris quoted the £140 winter fuel allowance as if he and the government paid it, It is in fact all electricity consumers who pay it as a part of a tariff on everyone's bill. And of course he failed to mention that with every price increase the treasury takes in more VAT
