Booked a day off work and got to the ticket office at 11:45 last night, I was first in the queue when the shutters opened at noon, £200 in my hand from the wages I picked up from the wages clerk on Friday before I went for my fish and chips.

Back home now with a cup of tea, no sitting in a virtual queue for me - though they did ask me some weird questions about whether I wanted to pay by card, or setup a direct debit. All sounded a bit suspicious to me.

 

Two renewed in about 1 minute. Roll on new manager, transfers and fixture list!

 

has anybody tried buying a new season ticket via direct debit? it doesnt let you choose a seat or send you a confirmation e-mail?

Really missed the "matchday experience"
Hopefully we may be allowed to attend some away games.

You don't get a confirmation straight away but you will get one when the company handling the DD notifies the club. Took about an hour for mine. I didn't check whether or not I could select my seat because I was happy to renew in my old seat, so I can't help you with that unfortunately.

 

Also in regards to the blue badge situation, it should be as simple as if you dad is in danger of falling because of his age and difficulty walking then he should be given a blue badge. It doesn't matter whether or not he CAN walk, it's about the risk of struggling and falling.

Its the council that makes the decision and not some dystopian wing of the Tory government, but I imagine in experience some would say there's little difference.

I would suggest you try and speak directly to some the accessibility officers within the council as in theory your father is being discriminated against heavily by having to pay a considerably larger amount of money to access a cultural facility, purely because of his disability. With the club and the council both being involved in the 2025 culture bid, I would have thought it would be favourable for them to issue a blue badge in this situation.

 

What’s the point in getting a season ticket.

Not a chance everyone will be allowed in at the start of the season. Deluded those who think otherwise, and dangerous too, given the presence of the Indian variant.

Hopefully we have a policy of only allowing those in with 2 jabs and a negative test.

 

I renewed an hour ago via direct debit, it wasn't the most user friendly experience, as I had to manually faff about finding my seat on the stadium plan, then entering my seat number on the system, whereas in the past the system knew my seat number and offered me it straight away
