Let's hit some reality. Over the last year or so the club have made no revenue beyond the limited amount from I-follow. Like all lower league clubs, on furlough or not, BCFC have been smashed by lack of money and resources. We desperately now need money revenue coming in from season ticket sales.

thank using percentage when the change is still a relative small amount is stupid and pointless

It was either £2000 up front or £2500 in instalments.

The justification is that £150 was far too cheap.

Cheap season tickets are laudable, but the price should have been increasing by small increments each year. They've devalued the product so much with the pricing, and this could cause longer term problems if people are thinking £200 is too much, a rise is well overdue hopefully it's not too late.

It was £2,250 up front, £2,500 in 5 staged payments or £3,000 paid over 5 years.

I sort of get the sentiment, but disagree that City's woes are underpinned by the reasons you quote, or the club is so desperately financially effected overall. As I have said a few times on other threads I do not think there will be any major financial gains with this sort of tactic, more likely the opposite, and there is no guarantee that any increase in funds will go towards what we fans hope.

    Only time will tell.

If we went on the basis of £180 being the average price, then it the equivalent of about 23 seasons, so 8% or there about s above inflation and even better for those who paid £2,250!

At the time Big Geoff sold it to fans as £100/season for Championship football or better (I believe we were in the Championship at the time) stating the whole of the monies raise would go towards Jim Jefferies war chest for players.

I paid £2000 because I still had a 5 year season ticket from when they opened the Midland Road stand.

The information I can't find is what will the price be of a normal match ticket? Those now denied the flexibility of a flexicard need to weigh up the pro's and con's of buying a ST against buying tickets as and when they can go.

I would assume that they could remain at £25 or at a push go up a couple of quid. If you only get to say half a dozen games then POTD makes financial sense.....but you will have to sit where you can, and perhaps not a chosen seat, or with family/friends.
I guess a lot will depend on whether or not you are totally cashed strapped.

I can't remember how long season tickets are usually on general sale, but the 6th to the 10th July seems an incredibly small window. With the launch of monthly payments, I thought they'd be going all out to try and attract new sales but they aren't giving themselves much time to do it. Could it possibly be due to continuing uncertainties around Covid and them not wanting to sell more than they might be able to admit, or is the period of time season tickets are on general sale always this short and I just haven't noticed before?

    That's a sweeping generalisation.

Molson-Coors produces Caffreys, Magnum, Peroni, Staroprame, Worthington and lots more... as well as Coors lite (and Fosters)! ;)
