Looks increasingly likely we will need a booster jab maybe in the Autumn

 

Anyone signing up for the COVID Booster trials ?

 

I doubt it helps that people of Bradford are having these posted through their letter boxes.

I'm not sure if it's targeted mail and my brother received it by mistake but the propaganda on it is definitely not helpful to the current situation.

 

Good grief. That is horrendous. It makes Donald Trump look like a beacon of truth and honesty.
Fecking religious zealots, of all persuasions, really piss me off.

 

The more worrying thing is though that the trend regarding vaccination figures suggests this type of nonsense may be being believed by more than a tiny minority.

 

Thank goodness we forked out over £37 billion on a system to keep us safe. Oh wait...

You'd think so, but people's BS detectors seem to have become weaker and weaker over the past few decades. In this case it's the Muslims, but you can find similar BS amongst the really Orthodox Jews and the more fundamentalist Christians as well. (And, I might add, amongst those of other faiths, or no faith.) Funny thing is, I don't recall, in my readings of the Bible and the Koran, God ever ordering His people to go forth and be stupid!

Rather the opposite: the Lord helps those who help themselves. Or as the old joke has it, a man watches floodwaters approaching and swallowing up his house, but refuses all offers of help, from a man in a truck to another in a boat to more in a helicopter, saying that he will trust in the Lord to save him. Having drowned, he finds himself face-to-face with God, and complains bitterly about his fate. God merely replies that he sent a man with a truck, a man with a boat, and some men in a helicopter. What was our hero waiting for?

Have you heard about the woman in Florida who runs an expensive private school, and who has banned vaccinated students and teachers from her school? She has heard all kinds of stories about how unvaccinated people / pregnant women etc. have been made ill by merely standing next to a vaccinated person, and thus wants to protect her schoolchildren and staff from a similar fate!

It would be funny, but these kinds of ideas harm all of us: those in the communities they are targetting, and the rest of us who may find ourselves sickened thanks to contact with them, or who find our lives and freedoms limited because the pandemic lingers on long after it could have been stopped.

A new triple mutant variant emerges in Yorkshire. That local lockdown for us being softened up, or they have looked at the take up rate of the vaccine in some areas and this is their idea to get people taking the vaccine.

We could have a sweepstake at where a new variant breakout is going to take place and what country or county it will be pinned on next.

Serious questions need to be asked about the government, why weren't flights from Yorkshire stopped?
