Aside from all the controversy that has plagued his managerial career since his days with Boston, it is 8 years since he has had any success, so my question to you is why?

 

His record as a manger compared to McCall's.. for a start!!!

He'd get this club moving forward.. I'd back him.

Considering the appointment was supposed to have been sown up and we weren't looking for candidates, I can only assume Wellens was never fully in the running - which is a major disappointment in my eyes.

 

If it is to be Adams we've another 9 days of pages and pages of folk getting frustrated and annoyed, AT LEAST.

Of course it's not at all possible that we were talking to him then someone else came in with a much better offer financially. Yep, tgat would never happen....

 

The statement said "the club is not seeking applicants."

To me, that doesn't imply that we were 'a bit close' to making an appointment, but rather the agreements had been made. Clearly that isn't the case with Wellens, therefore I'm happy to conclude he's not the person referred to when we sacked Trueman and Sellars.

 

Not sure where the Wellen's appointment came from, there were strong rumours on here but as a few have said Derek Adams was the one Ryan was waxing lyricals about inj his interviews.
I thought it would be Wellen's because Adam's was still involved at Morecombe, maybe we've read the situation wrong and it might not be either.
